Ease of using & making for birds!

I started feeding hummingbirds and initially used perky pets brand bought at a big box store. One time when I needed more, I decided to look at options on Amazon and found this product that was highly rated. After learning more about these birds, I discovered that red dye was not only not necessary- but could be quite harmful to them. They sell a dyed version, so you have to double check the product information if you want the clear to make sure you don't accidentally buy the one with dye- which I accidentally did once when the picture was incorrect. This product also provides some crude proteins, which I think is useful as they need protein and boiling sugar water won't provide that. I believe I had more hummingbirds coming to my feeders after starting to use this. I once ran out of this and used some leftover perky pets powder while I was waiting for my shipment; the birds basically protested and stopped coming until I finally put out the good stuff. I'm now a very loyal customer and have purchased probably 10 containers by this point. I would highly recommend this product if you're really wanting to up the number of visitors to your feeders! Additionally, when I go into a fancy bird shop- this is the stuff they're selling.
