Works well, but you have to use the app to use it, not usable without the app.
This is a good value for a good quality vacuum with nice features & excellent performance that makes it comparable to the Roomba and a good option. But If you are not willing to use an app to primarily control it (Dreamehome) it's not going to be able to be very useful without the app.-ProsGood value overall for the quality, features and performance Easily competes with Roomba’s or Mint’s performance, quality & features.Has both a vacuum mode & a damp mop mode (with water you put in the pad with the cloth that has a tank built into the pad) (remove this pad if you want to only vacuum). (Note it does not pull up water off the floor with vacuum suction, it’s just a damp mop with water & a pad.)You can use vacuum mode by itself, damp mop mode by itself (with the attachment placed on it and water in the tank, & the pad on the attachment) or both vacuum & damp mode together (again with the attachment placed) (Be sure to remove the attachment if you are not going to mop, as it vacuums better with it off vs on.)Cleans very well, in some areas better than my Roomba. I found it picked up even dog fur very well and left my floors very clean.Rechargeable in the included charging base that plugs into a standard outlet. It’s very good about going back to the base on it’s own.Lithium ion 5,2000 mAh rechargeable batteries. Rated to last for up to 285 minutes of continuous cleaning per battery charge.Automatic dust collection feature. You don’t empty the vacuum device itself you empty a replaceable bag inside the charging base. You lift up the lid & take out the bag as needed. It does have an alert when the bag is full. You will hear the sound of the base using it’s own vacuum (I think, it may be the robot vacuum pushing the debris into the bag in the base) to pull the debris from the vacuum into the bag into the base. (In the app you can set it to empty every use or several uses, I’d set it to empty every use as the default setting it already is.)Bags are rated to last in the base for up to 90 days before needing to be emptied or replaced (it may be difficult to empty them as they are small bags). 2 dust bags included (1 to install, 1 extra) Larger capacity replaceable dust bags at 4L (liters).Replaceable: dust bag, main brush, side brush, filterThe filter is washable and reusable (but be sure it’s fully dry before putting it back in).LiDar navigation & smart mapping. When you direct it in the app to map your home it uses a laser mapping feature to map your home in the areas you want (or don’t want) it to vacuum (or mop, or both vacuum & mop). You use the map to customize the cleaning areas & settings in the app. It did a very good job of covering my home area in the map even with a lot of furniture. I was impressed with how well this worked.Wifi connected (you must put in your Wifi password & connect in the app)Uses the Dreamehome app (ios and android) (free, but you have to register in the app) (You must use this app to use it & set it up, if you don’t you can’t set it up in other apps or even use the vacuum properly. If you’re not willing or able to set it up in this app, this is not a vacuum that will work for you.)Anti collision smart pathfind technology feature with obstacle avoidance.Vacuum suction rating at 6,000 pa. It handled dog fur clumps very easily and didn’t struggle at all with them. 4 vacuum suction levels (adjustable in the app, not on the device itself).150 ml (5.07 oz) water tank (don’t put cleaner in it) on the removable mopping pad (where you also put the mop cloth). (You will need to fill this tank yourself at the tap on the sink or with bottled water, it does not have an auto fill feature to fill it.) (I’d suggest using a small funnel of your own to fill it with a cup, that’s how I’ve always filled the one on my Mint cleaner, it’s easier than running water at a tap that can get all over it.)3 water flow settings (adjustable in the app, not on the device itself) for how much water flow is used during mopping & how damp your floor will be. (Remember it can not & does not suction water back into the device, it’s just a mop that moves across the floor with a damp pad.)Removable, washable mop cloth. Extra mop cloths are available, but only 1 is included.Floor surface compatibility: hard floors, carpet, tile. You can customize how and where you clean & how often in the App. You can set how often (daily, every several days) & what areas you want or don't to clean in the app.Has a main rotating brush & a smaller side brush.Does a good job going over standard floor room thresholds & transitions. It’s rated for use on thresholds up to 20mm (0.78 inches).Doesn’t get stuck under objects like Roombas do. If it starts to, it has a good ability to maneuver away and free itself. I did not have to get it or adjust it from being stuck under anything, I usually do in the same area with a Roomba. It had an impressive ability compared to my older Roomba to not get stuck. I was really frustrated with my Roomba and how often it got stuck, this one did a far better job as it never got stuck at all. Will return by itself to the charging dock after use and cleaning. Has a button on it as well (the one that looks like a house, the other is the power button, but you don’t use it to start a cleaning cycle) to send it home to the dock. If it needs to charge and isn’t done cleaning, it will charge and resume cleaning, though mine finished cleaning 46 minutes of run time & had 80% battery left.Compatible with voice commands from Alexa, Siri, Google home. But, you must install and set it up first in the Dreamehome app, you can’t just start using it with those apps without first installing it in the Dreamehome app. You will need to link it as an Alexa skill after setting it up in the Dreamehome app.Instructions included.-Cons:It’s not going to be usable if you don’t use the recommended app. You can’t just press a button & have it vacuum. You need to use the app as directed to set it up or use it. You can’t link it to Alexa, Siri, or Google Home without first using the Dreamehome app.No button to have it start vacuuming on the vacuum itself. You only have an on/off (for charging, not vacuuming) button & a home button (to tell it to go to the charging base). You can’t just press a button to start the vacuuming, you must use the app (or one of the compatible voice apps after linking with the main app). You must use an app (Dreamehome) with it to get full use of it. It’s not usable without the app. The app is free (ios, android), but you do have to provide an email or phone number & sign in the app and create a password in the app and receive a confirmation code. You have to give some permission for location, WiFi & Bluetooth to use the app.The app is fairly easy to use and overall works well, however it could be a little more intuitive to use. I also found that several times I had to try more than once to link to the vacuum if it hadn’t been used that day. It did work, but you may have instances of it not recognizing your vacuum and you having to try again to get it to work. It was worse if I was further away from my vacuum with my phone. If you have issues, get closer to the vacuum.Only 1 mop pad is included. Only 2 dust bags are included. The dust bags (used in the base, not inside the vacuum) are pricey if you buy the branded ones. There are compatible ones that are less expensive. No option to use the base without the bags. I’d have liked an option for a liner or other removable container to manually empty into the trash that didn’t have to be replaced. It didn't clean kitchen cabinet kick plate bases as well as my slightly shorter in height old Roomba. It didn’t get it quite as close to the edge as my old Roomba. I did have to use my wand style vacuum in a few areas around my cabinet kickplates. In the app, there is an area called “accessory usage” it shows the device life in battery and brushes. Some of the brushes (main and side brush) were only rated in the app for so many use hours. The main brush has 300 service life hours, the side brush, 200 service life hours, & the filter 150 service life hours. It does allow you to reset the number & replacement reminder and still use it after this time. On my old Roomba I could go several years of regular use & not need to replace a brush. I have concerns about the durability of the brushes based on this, but not based on looking at them, they look and perform like they should hold up far longer than the “suggested” lifespan. It is compatible with Alexa, Siri & Google Home. But you will not be able to just set it up in those apps first to use it, you must still use the required Dreamehome app first. It will only empty the dust container one time the end of use. It should hold enough for most homes. but I'd prefer a sensor vs just emptying at the end of cleaning. You may still need to touch up with a stick vacuum or stick or wand vacuum attachment in some areas. I did need to touch up around my kitchen cabinet edges in some places & around some table legs.If you map your house in the app & have it go room to room, it doesn’t just clean one room then go to the next. It does the entire perimeter off the entire area & go pass by pass toward the center. You’ll think it’s missing areas at first, when it’s the pattern it uses and it will get there eventually-Tips:You will need to before the first use: fully charge the vacuum, install the Dreamehome app, map your home in the app, remove the protective plastic from the vacuum, install the outer brush on the vacuum, install the dust bag in the top of the base.Be sure to leave doors to rooms open during both the mapping you must do on first use (in the app) & during vacuuming. It does go room to room vs finish one room all at once, so leave the same doors open (or closed) that you did during the initial mapping of the area.If you haven’t dusted or vacuumed under some furniture that a regular vacuum or stick vacuum can’t get to, this can get under some of those areas very well (depending on the height vs vacuum height). I did find that on some areas I couldn’t reach, it pulled loose dust bunnies loose & left them (pulled from the underside of the furniture) & I had to touch them up with my stick vacuum. This isn’t a fault of the vacuum, it was an area that I hadn’t cleaned under or moved furniture and this pulled those out so I could vacuum them up. It vacuumed most of them up itself, it just left a few. I don’t think this will be an issue from now on, as those areas are freshly cleaned and with regular use shouldn’t have the dust build up.When it finished, I would say it got 90%-99% & left me to do about 2-3 minutes of my own edge vacuuming with a stick vacuum. After it’s 46 minutes in about 800 square feet (the app will show how long it took) of vacuuming & after mapping and vacuuming it still had about 80% battery life left. Had I done this area by hand with my stick & rolling combo vacuum (wand in edges, corners, rolling on the center) it would have taken my about 30 minutes of vacuuming by hand vs the 2-3 minutes on areas it missed (mostly due to pulling out dust bunnies vs really missing it.)At first I thought it missed things or left them, then I realized it was areas that I hadn’t moved for vacuum recently and couldn’t get under with my regular vacuum. It’s not going to do that the next time as it’s already loosened them and gotten them up. I think many people will have this issue and not understand it’s normal & not a failing of the vacuum. In areas that there was no furniture it got 99%, with some corners and furniture legs missed.Don’t put the dust pad and mop attachment on it if you’re not mopping. It’s going to vacuum better without this on. Be sure and wash or replace the mop pad between uses or you’ll just be mopping with a dirty pad. You’ll need to wash it between uses or get more pads to use.You can’t use cleaners with the mop attachment tank (inside the pad for the mop, not the base or vacuum), but just water in the tank. This is not going to replace a standard full wet mop by hand or another mopping device. This is a light damp mop vs full wet mop. You can’t mop or vacuum up spills, and it can't vacuum up water during use.Be sure long hair doesn’t get twisted around the brushes. This is also an issue for the Roomba. Hair can twist around the brushes & you have to carefully get it off or it holds the brush where it can’t work properly. If you’re searching for a replacement dust bag by model of the vacuum itself, it’s going to be frustrating. Search for the bag number and style, not vacuum model and style. You want to search for Dreame D10 4L bags. You want the 4L (4 liter capacity) not the smaller 2.5L (2.5 liter capacity bags). You’ll see both 4L and 2.5L bags when you search, but be sure they are 4L. There are a lot of options available that are unbranded, compatible and not nearly as expensive as the pricey branded ones. If I had to buy only the branded ones, I wouldn’t have picked this vacuum due to that. That was one of the first things I checked, I wanted reasonably priced bags. The branded ones are overpriced, the unbranded compatible ones are reasonably priced and you get more bags for a lower cost per bag. There aren’t a lot of reviews and videos elsewhere on this model. I wanted to learn more about it, and found that there were several reviews and videos with the older model of this, it can give you a pretty good idea of how it works, though this one is improved and a bit different.Compared to a Mint robotic, non vacuuming floor mop system, I still prefer my old Mint, due to the lower cost and larger size of the replacement pads. Otherwise the performance is very similar and about equal between this and the Mint.Compared to a Roomba, it does have some advantages, but it will depend on your Roomba model. Mine is an older model Roomba about 10 years old. I’ve already replaced a battery, brushes, and motherboard in it and it works very well. I’m concerned I may not be able to get the replacement parts for this vacuum as easily as the Roomba. However, there are ways this works far better than a Roomba.Roomba advantages over this (depends on your Roomba model): no app needed, no Wifi needed, does get under cabinet kickplate edges a little better than this, you can press a button to start it vs starting it in the app, spot clean (for small areas or messes), no replacement bags needed. Some Roomba models are shorter than this and may get under furniture better (but tend to also get stuck far worse than this one does).Advantages of this over a Roomba (it will vary by your Roomba model): doesn’t get stuck under furniture the way my Roomba does (the Roomba will get stuck, stop and force you to pull it out from under the furniture). I vacuumed in areas I never use my Roomba in due to how frustrating it is, and it didn’t get stuck once (Roomba would have gotten stuck 5 times at least, I’d guess). Self emptying (you’ll occasionally need to empty the dust bag in the base unit), goes back to the charging station easily and docks well (Roombas can be fussy on this at times). Cleans better overall than the Roomba, and handled pet hair better than the Roomba. Longer battery life than the Roomba, and can clean a larger area on a single charge. Compared to my older Roomba, I much prefer this model and would say the quality and performance is even better than my Roomba and my floors looked cleaner (newer models may be better though). Sound wise, they are fairly close though this is a bit quieter than the Roomba. If it does get under something, don’t go and get it unless it tells you to or stops. It went under my Gazelle exercise machine, and I watched and it got itself unstuck fairly quickly. It did struggle for a moment over a pad on the floor, but figured it out and got away from the pad. Just let it work and do what it needs to, it will usually get itself where it needs to go, and if it can’t it will alert you.It also doesn’t seem to get stuck, hit and bump furniture as much as the Roomba does, and if it did, it’s gentle. I have a house full of furniture and my Roomba was useless in main rooms and I could only use it in my kitchen due to how often it got stuck (constantly during use), this one I could use in my whole house and it didn’t get stuck under couches, tables, like my Roomba. It didn’t get stuck or try to grab drapes or any fabric either (not laying on floor but fairly low to the floor). You will need to download the app (Dreamehome) (android or ios) before first use. Charge the vacuum first, before installing it in the app. Install the app, follow the in-app directions (will need to register with an email or phone number, verification text or email, and create a password). You’ll need to scan the qr code on the vacuum itself in the app. The code is under the front lift up top toward the front, just gently lift it up. You’ll have to provide Wifi password in the app, and approve Wifi use, Bluetooth, and location services. If you don’t do all that, you won’t be able to use the vacuum.I found the app needed to update itself and the vacuum on the first run of the app. Just give it a few minutes to do so before use, and then you can set it up.In the app, select the mapping feature and it will map your home (won’t vacuum during mapping). Open any doors you would leave open for it to vacuum, close any you would leave closed. After it maps (took about 20-30 minutes), adjust and name the rooms and areas in the app map. You can set areas you don’t want to vacuum (no go zones) and areas you do want to vacuum. If you have stairs or steps you’ll need to read the instructions on how to deal with that before use (I didn’t have them so I can’t speak to that.) Push in any chairs, be sure furniture is where you want it and pick up any items off the floors that aren’t normally there or need to be put away first. Then you use the app to tell it when to vacuum (now, scheduled on a schedule) and where to vacuum (single room, multiple or all rooms). In the app you can see how long the vacuuming took in minutes, when you last vacuumed and even real time location of the vacuum as it’s working.Don’t put the mopping pad and water tank attachment on the vacuum when just vacuuming. Use it when you want to mop or both vacuum and mop. (This is adjustable in the app in the cleaning settings under mode). The default setting in the map on cleaning settings is sweeping (vacuuming), for standard (not low) vacuum suction, and I found it worked perfectly on my hard floors (but I have no carpets or throw rugs). You can adjust it higher or lower if needed, I’d try the default standard first as it worked well, then adjust higher if needed, you may not need to. You can also adjust the water tank (the detachable pad goes on the detachable tank)To adjust when, where and how it cleans your rooms in the app go to cleaning settings, the cleaning sequence and set the areas from the map there. If you don’t map your home first, you won’t be able to do this, so be sure and let it map first. It doesn’t seem to bump into furniture, pets or people during use, and that wasn’t an issue. You’ll still likely want or need another vacuum for small touch ups or messes. If this is your only vacuum, there will be some things you can’t do with this vs a regular vacuum. I’d suggest having an additional regular vacuum with a wand or wand attachment. This one is good for maintenance, and if you run it regularly, you’ll likely use your standard vacuum far less. I do think that it won’t completely replace a standard vacuum, but I can already tell I’ll only use my regular vacuum for 5% use, this one 95% use. I could not say that about my Roomba (which I could only use in my kitchen), because it got stuck so often it was unusable in some areas.

5-Star Review: This Robot Vacuum is AMAZING!
Okay, let me start by saying I never write reviews, but this Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2 is excellent. I’ve had robot vacuums before, but this thing? Next-level.First off—the mapping feature blew my mind. I turned it on, and within like 10 minutes, it zipped around my house floor and built this super detailed map on the app. It even figured out where my rugs end and the hardwood starts? Magic. Now I can tell it to just clean the kitchen after dinner. And the vacuum + mop combo? Chef’s kiss. The suction is crazy strong—it picks up everything from cereal crumbs to my husky’s never-ending fur tumbleweeds. Then the mopping? It’s not some half-hearted wipe. The pads actually scrub, and you can adjust how wet you want it. My floors look legit polished, but they’re not slippery. Huge win. Here’s the best part: I barely have to do anything. The dustbin empties itself into this big station. And the battery lasts FOREVER—it cleaned my whole downstairs, then went back to charge on its own. It’s way quieter than my old vacuum. I can watch TV while it’s running—no yelling over the noise. The app’s super easy too. I set schedules, pick rooms to clean.Honestly? If you’re tired of sweeping, mopping, or emptying a dustbin every day, this is worth every penny. It’s like having a tiny, hyper-efficient roommate who actually cleans up. 10/10—no regrets!

Best one on the market!!
Worth every penny!! I never thought I would actually like one of these robot vacuums but this machine is amazing. We named her Rosie after the Jetsons robot cleaner and Rosie does everything for us. The mop portion is more of a floor duster and we have tile that is textured so we have not had to use that very often, but it does function well. We have a higher nap carpet in the bedrooms and it even does a great job on those. I am actually surprised at how much time dust it picks up. You can choose from three different suction levels. The little dustbin inside is a good size compared to others I have seen but I would not be able to do more than about three rooms at a time before sending it to be emptied, just so I don't overload it. But it's so easy to send it to clean, I really don't mind that! The dust bag in the dock is a great size and I really don't have to clean it out but once a month or so. Also, maintenance cleaning on the unit is so so easy with the way the beater bar and other components come out, it only takes me about 10 minutes to clean off the hair (which it vacuums most of the hair up but some still wraps around the bar) and wipe out the dust. I love that it goes in a grid pattern and does leave lines in the carpet. Honestly, my on complaint is that it only does the perimeter of the room once, even when you set it for multiple passes. Otherwise, 100/10 get one right now!!! I will attach some photos and videos when I get the chance.
