We had a garden party with 50 guests so had food trays. Comes in parts, but fairly easy to assemble. Inexpensive, works on AA batteries not provided. Did the job, but we also used the little food cover tents available on amazon.

It took me a couple times to figure out how to get them open and extended. They pack up small to fit back in the box. We use them on our outdoor tables while camping to keep the bugs off our plates while eating. They work great! If you accidentally get in the way of the fan it's soft enough that it doesn't hurt you.

I bought these because I sit on my porch and get dive bombed by flys that never land and are too fast for me to swat. These little fans are more pleasant amd effective than I expected. First, the blades are very thin, lightweight flexible plastic so if they accidentally hit you, they don't hurt. They actually stop because they aren't powerful enough to keep going. I was worried about my dog accidentally getting hit in the face. He stays away from them, but even if one were to hit him, it wouldn't hurt. Second, these are really quiet. There is a slight noise but not intrusive or bothersome. Third, they confuse the flys. The flys see them and go the other way for the most part. A few have approached them but then leave. Its pretty impressive. Finally, I don't know what these are supposed to to look like but they remind me of little lighthouses. The only reason I didn't give the 5 stars is because they are collapsible and kinda hard to get into position. You have to twist them into place but they don't snap and lock or anything like that. Otherwise, this is a very novel idea. As I write this review I am sitting in a lawn chair with one fan on the table 2 feet away from me and another one 5 feet away. The flys stay away. For the past several days I was using just one fan and it worked pretty good but flys were coming within about 5 feet of me and turning around. 2 fans seems to have done the trick.

These little fans really pack a punch! Once you place batteries, and set up, the fan take off and really help keep pests away. They move fast enough to help clear the area but not to hurt you when you touch it…… because who doesn’t try to touch a free standing fan!!! Super easy to use and durable to lots of needs especially picnics and camping!

Came in a set of 4 with all materials included. Works great to keep flies away from food !

Initially thought these improved our fly situation…but no. One of the four immediately turned off, I turned it over to find a white liquid seeping out from where the batteries go. They go through batteries like nothing I’ve ever seen. Also, they stop spinning with even the slightest breeze.You can do better than this.

I saw these being used at an outdoor wedding buffet. They worked great. We Cook and eat outside a lot and have always struggles with flies. These fans work great. I like the adjustable heights.

I used these for my daughter's birthday at a park. I thought that by having these and the food covers we would have to worry about the flies as much. Well, I was wrong. They work but now as well as I thought.
