Great handles for small tools.

This is a very beautiful handle with a clean and uniform finish on it. The brass collet contrasts perfectly with the Rosewood handle. Be sure to double check the size specifications as not all files will fit.

It's not bad. I like that it'll tighten up, unlike my others that are just wedged. But I've still had files pull out of this one a couple times just the same. Kinda picky about what it can hold.

OMG, this file-handle is like a fine piece of furniture: smoothly lacquered rosewood body/threaded solid brass collet (almost too nice for the likes of my scruffy files). Yep, I know, for about the same price, you coulda scored a set of five or so utilitarian spruce-handles, but this thing is a joy to handle (not to mention, just gazing at!). The threaded sure-locking collet certainly beats the heck out of just ramming a file tang down my current loosey-goosey-cheapo-hole-in-end-handle. If you appreciate quality workmanship in even your more mundane tool accessories, this file-handle will make an often tedious chore more enjoyable.

What a beautiful file handle! It's silky smooth and feels oh-so-good in the hand! The handle is ergonomic and has a nice curve where you can rest the thumb which aids in pushing the file. The brass collet works smoothly. The collet did not fit my smallest needle files that have a tang diameter of 2.85mm. But, my larger needle files with a tang diameter of 3.65 fit perfectly. Everything about this file handle is top notch quality!

The media could not be loaded.  I so much wanted to like this file handle. I’ve been looking for a file handle for my jeweler’s files for a long time. This handle is made with beautiful wood and brass. The construction is superb. Everything about the construction is excellent. It has a great hand feel, the size is good. Only one thing is wrong. It wouldn’t tighten up on any of the files I have. I have top quality files from Nicholson, Grobet and Mercer and none of them would tighten in the collet. It is very close and few I could tighten on the knurled part but it wasn’t enough clamping to keep the file from slipping. I’m so disappointed.

This is a really nice file handle. Wish I could have one for every file I own. Unfortunately, it only seems to fit square tang files at about the 1/8" taper edge. I was hoping to buy a set for my smaller files but it wouldn't tighten on round 3/16" tangs. With a beautiful knurled knob collet, this really looks nice in the typical home woodworker's tool box.

I was surprised at how well made this little file handle was for the price. The wood appears to be some sort of rosewood and is well finished. The collet is easy to adjust with 4 teeth and holds small files very well, and switching files is quick and easy. I am very pleased with this and plan to purchase another when they become available again.
