TRUEplus A1CNow Self Check 2ct Kit

I had an A1C test coming up from the doctor but was wanting to get a feel for how I was doing before that, so purchased this kit. It was easy to do, and the reading I got was almost identical to the “official” lab reading a couple weeks later, so I’m happy with the result and probably will use it again. Actually the kit does contain two tests, but I’ll be darned if I can find out where the kit went! 🤪

Thought this would be easy and it really was, but it errored out on the results both times! I followed the instructions and even watched the video to be sure I didn't screw anything up but never got a decent result. And on the instructions, there are about 20 different error codes listed, which is twenty ways this test can go wrong. Not worth the money that's for sure. Also, on most of the error codes it wants you to call customer service. Which totally defeats the purpose of an at home test. And one of the lancets didn't even work so I had to stab my finger with a safety pin instead. Sure won't buy this test kit again!

Reading was similar to what I get at Dr. office/lab - so, easy to use and probably accurate.

Not well documented. It also only had two test kits,so it is not a long term unit. I had two test kits that did not work, so it was a total waste of money

I'm trying to get my levels back down and this tool has helped me monitor at home.

First test no problem worked. Second test did nothing. Definitely will not buy again. Paid $50 for one test since the second didn’t work at all. Followed directions and also not the first time doing this test.
