Tastes great like more expensive brands, better price. Great for dental health.
I've been using xylitol for dental care with my toddler. I bought a bunch of xylitol gels and wipes but they are unbelievably expensive if you go consider the amount, filled with other unnecessary ingredients, and the wipes are just awful to use so they're just saved when I have nothing else with me.I make a teaspoon of xylitol (roughly 5 grams a day is considered effective) mixed in a small amount of water for my toddler sipped through the day especially after meals and snacks between brushings. I also use it in my coffee now instead of sugar. I have never accepted any other sugar substitute until xylitol. The first time I could just barely tell it was a little different, but there's no aftertaste. It really is just so close to sugar. And my teeth don't feel sticky after my morning coffee. I could just give up sugared coffee but this is a nice replacement and hopefully even better for my oral health.I started with another brand, made from all birch and in the USA. It was quite a bit more expensive but it's for my kid and so I went with it until I could consider my options. We finished up that small container so quickly since I"m using also a couple of teaspoons a day. At time to reorder, I saw Zint has 5lbs for so much less. It tastes the same to me. It's 100% refined xylitol so I don't know why it would taste differently regardless of being made from corn. Just like beet sugar is identical to cane sugar, xylitol is xylitol. Zint is made in China so there's that difference if it matters to you. I tend to worry more about such things if the product involves plastics or paints, but China is a huge producer so it's hard to avoid for everything. I hope they has a good test and monitoring process in place as all companies should, but I'm otherwise very satisfied with the product for a good value.

Xylitol is amazing
Everyone needs to learn about Xylitol. Replaces sugar in equal amounts. Does not convert to acids that aid tooth decay. It actually is antibacterial for mouth, nose, and throat bacteria - reducing bacterial load. In fact, it makes a great nose wash if you feel even a tingle of an oncoming infection dissolve a tsp of xylitol in 1/2-3/4 c distilled water and "snort" it liberally. I just leave mine in a cup with a spoon in it. I "snort" the spoonful very liberally and frequently. I know I have offset many a sniffles and cold. If you have heard of Xlear nasal spray xylitol is what they use but mixing your own, I fee,l is much more powerful and a WHOLE lot cheaper. It also inhibits or outright kills the bacteria that cause tooth decay. If only we could get little kids to sniff it up I think it would save them from a lot of ear infections. It's nice and sweet, I wonder if just drinking it would help. Parents try this.Best of all, it does not raise blood sugar and it does not lead to insulin resistance. For a few people it may take an adjustment period. Too much might cause stomach upset, gas, and diarrhea probably because it is also messing with your gut microbiota balances. As with everything, moderation is necessary. It is very natural, from birch and other hardwood trees, and fibrous vegetation.Zint offered the best price at least on amazon. It can get expensive. Package says "Raw material from china"

Much Finer Crystals, Defective Ziplock Bag
Xylitol is hands down the best sugar alternative. It has the same bulk, sweetness, and texture as regular sugar, but with a lot fewer calories and a lower glycemic index. It has the same taste as sugar, unlike stevia and other sugar substitutes. Best of all, you can use this in cooking and baking exactly the same as you would sugar (no other sugar substitute performs well in baking). It also inhibits the bacteria that causes tooth decay (remember xylitol gum?). The only reasons I didn't give this order 5 stars is that this is a super fine powder version of xylitol. I've never seen any brand this fine. Every other, including the old Orange and yellow packaging from Z!nt Nutrition, was nearly identical yo sugar crystals. This works the same and tastes the same, and in fact, it might work better for things like making frosting. The only true negative is this new packaging has a defective ziplock bag. It's clearly a manufacturing defect in the bag. It's impossible to zip the bag closed because the one side of the bag that is supposed to have the two outer "tracks" that the opposite side's single track fits into is formed so tightly that it is also a single track. I had to use my fingernail to slowly pry open the length of the one side (and force out the super fine xylitol powder inside the track) and then I was able to properly close the bag. If you don't do that, you'll need to transfer your xylitol into an air tight container. I would strongly recommend that Z!nt Nutrition revert back to the old packaging.

Arrived quickly and intact.
This is my favorite sugar substitute so far. Comes in a very durable pouch that allows for easy freshness and long term stoage.

Use this in anything requiring a sweetener. Even makes a serving of water taste better.
