Yes it is. Model GS-8300SB or GS-8300SO

Q: Will it fit and be stable with a heavy 10-inch pan?

Yes. I use a 10” cast iron pan. It holds up very well

Q: This looks bigger when folded than some of the non-folding ones. Am I missing something?

This is a butane stove, and when folded is just slightly larger than the butane canister itself. Maybe you are comparing to an isobutane jetboil ?
