There is a knack to getting this on the dog but once mastered it’s easy, but practice first. Used daily now and enjoy walking the dog without the struggle of it pulling all the time. Hasn’t rubbed the dog at all and he’s comfortable wearing it.

Use these for my Labradors this particular one is the perfect length and nice and soft both to hold and for around the dogs noses. It goes on and adjusts easily in seconds. Can be used figure of eight or as a normal slip lead.I also like the colour. Top marks from me! 😊

We have been trying to train our dog not to pull on the lead and resorted, reluctantly, to a slip lead. Initially, this one seemed promising as it wasn't thin and was comfortable to hold. However, if you have a dog that pulls a lot - the lead stretches out as the dog pulls away from you. It, therefore, goes from a relatively fat cord to a thin cord and the rubber "stopper" simply moves itself down to meet the tightest fit on the neck! This then stops the lead being able to loosen off and makes it a permanent choke! I have given 3 stars as I fully understand that this lead is not being marketed as suitable for training and I have bought it mistakenly assuming it would be safe for that purpose. However, one would assume that the stopper not stopping would be an issue in any case and I certainly want to to warn anyone training their dog - like me - that this is not a suitable lead.

Worked well in stopping my dog dragging me out on walks. We were using a harness, which she thought gave her the right to pull me to the park. With a tiny bit of work, this slip lead has all but solved that problem. Would recommend to anyone who is danger of shoulder dislocation from an exicted dog!

Pleased with the quality, check the length of the lead for the type of dog you have as I find this quite long for my labs so end up wrapping it round my hand, which isn’t great if they suddenly pull

This lead is very soft and comfortable to hold and I would suggest comfortable for the dog, I used to get rope burn off my last lead. The rubber stopper could do with being a slightly tighter fit as when the lead stretches it moves quite freely and you can suddenly find it is very loose around your dogs neck.As with any slip lead it is easy to use but make sure you put it on the right way round so that it can release when the dogs is walking nicely.Slightly more expensive than other leads I've had but then I guess you get what you pay for. My only complaint is that it is a bit long, I'm 5'6" and end up with a big loop of it doubled up in my hand when the dog is walking to heel otherwise we could both do skipping with it, this is compounded by the stretchiness of the lead.If you are vertically challenged, then I would opt for a shorter lead.Otherwise a very good lead.

My dog could tear it. The material of the leash is not great.

I work for an animal shelter where a good slip lead is essential. We are provided some, which range from 6-8 feet long, but I find them too long for general shelter work. 4ft leads are better to keep the dogs right next to you while walking down the hallways, without wrapping the lead around your hand 10+ times. I love that the lead has a rubber lock on it, to prevent the lead from loosening (which it does naturally if not locked in place). The fact that it will loosen on it's own is good if you work with hand-shy dogs, and the lock actually works, for the escape artist dogs. I was a little surprised by the elasticity in the lead- it has about 1-2 inches of give in it, when a dog starts pulling, which can help to alleviate the "jerk" results on your hand and arm. These are perfect for anyone needing a simple, basic slip lead that locks in place. I highly recommend! It is very durable too! It has survived heavy pullers and held up to leash biters/chewers as well!
