The j-hooks seem to be made of quality steel. The steel hook is entirely covered providing good protection for your bar. Product arrived with four 3M rubber stickers about 2mm thick to provide a tighter fit between various brand uprights - REP vs Rogue, etc. Will update review if material or integrity degrade quickly. Great value for the money!

IT DOES NOT FIT MY 2 x 2 Power Cage (Ultra Fuego). If you try to use a rubber spacer (1/8) It will get stuck.UPDATE: The company was nice enough to reach out (it is NOT their fault that power cages aren’t made to some sort of standard), the Hooks themselves are EXCEPTIONABLY made (possibly the best on the market) and I just wished they worked out for me. Good Luck to anyone who purchases these, I hope they fit your cage and work for you! 🤞

Works really good

Bought these to replace a flimsy pull and slide holder system. I had to drill through-holes to accommodate the longer pin, but it added to the sturdiness of the hooks. That's more of rack design issue than any fault of these hooks, hence, 5 stars.

I wasn’t aware that this included extra adhesive padding you can add as sound dampening or gap closing to make the jhook fit tighter.The welding is pretty straight and the jhook fit just right. It doesn’t rattle like other jhooks I’ve tried, so pretty happy with this!

Upon first sight of these J-hooks on Amazon, I thought they would be a great fit for my needs. Holding them in my hands upon arrival, I was initially pleased with what I received. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse.Firstly, there are two screws on each hook holding the rubber padding. This is a problematic design as the screws exit on the other side, causing damage to the paint on the rack. Before installing these, double-check that the screws are not sticking out.Secondly, these are not exactly 2x2 but 1/16 over 2”, which may not seem like a lot, but it’s enough to create a gap between the hook and the rack, resulting in a lot of noise and it does not feel very secure. To address this, I added two small pads used for furniture legs, which alleviated the issue to a greater extent.Thirdly, the rubber back of the J-hook is too short. Considering that my arms are not short when racking the barbell after doing a bench press, the barbell sometimes hits above the J-hook, causing a jerky movement and also scraping off the paint on the rack, as can be seen in my photos.Overall, I regret trying to save money by buying this product. I should have opted for a known brand and better quality hooks, which I now need to purchase anyway, along with fixing the paint job on my rack.

Looks solid…

Fits well on my 2x2 with 1" holes. Clean welds and nice powder coating. Comes as an asymmetrical pair so of bar shifts to side the other will not allow rotation. Come with small rubber pads to take up some slack on the back end. Will buy again.

The media could not be loaded.  If I was able to get 4.5 stars I would’ve. Exactly as described, it also came with rubber pads to fill in the gap between the power rack and the hook. It will for sure extend the life of your barbell, and it could definitely hold some heavyweight. Overall, very good product, although my only feedback would be concerning about the price as I wish it could be a bit cheaper.
