The suction doesn’t stick to my hard floor, but sure does to my marble countertop. I put it on a rug and it’s fine.

Entertaining for my dog

This mat holds roughly 1 cup of feed/treats. The dog bone shapes are raised up from the base and allow for kibble or other morsels to be tucked up under to make foraging a bit more of a challenge. The suction cups adhered well to tile and hardwood for the most part. I have one dog that likes to dig at his feed mat, and under that kind of stress, this mat peels up no problem. So make sure you always use this under supervision to keep pups from chewing off pieces of it and accidently ingesting them.

Both my dogs eat off of our snuffle mat. They find it interesting and possibly fun to eat from. I recommend this product to anyone with dogs.

I have a cat that refuses to chew. We even broke up her feeding into three times a day to try and curb the scarfing down. She would still make herself sick sometimes.It did take a few days until my cat finally starting to use the mat like intended, but that's normal for any animal. Once she did, it was more of a fun activity than just eating.-The snuffle mat is very flexible but thick at the base, the suction cups are well made and it holds very strong when placed and pressed.-The lifted up 'dog bones' are formed right and I don't see any cosmetic defects.-its easy to use and easy to clean with dry food. I just rinse it off and let it air dry.The only thing I can think of that may be a negative is if you have a chewer. The 'dog bones' are more flexible than stiff, so if you have an animal that likes to hang on and chew, this might not be the best snuffle mat for you.

I've recently jumped on the lick mat train and ordered this because it looked fun and interesting. It's identical to the product image - but please not the bone shapes do NOT rotate. That part wasn't clear in the listing one way or another, and I was half expecting them to move around the way some plastic treat toys do. My dog doesn't need a TON of mental stimulation so I don't need it to be super interactive for him, but if you want a treat puzzle-type lick mat, this won't be the same level of "difficulty". But as a slow feeder it works great.I did have trouble spreading pate on the bones, so I ended up taking chunks and just hiding them underneath all the bones in those little crevices and it worked fine. I tried with a softer wet food and it was able to spread well onto the bones, the pate was just too solid. Although the suction to the hardwood floor is actually stronger than the other 3 lick mats I have, this one isn't perfect, so if you have a hardware floor and an aggressive licker, just beware that it may not stay totally put. But on a smooth surface, suction should be great. And also, like with all lick mats but especially this one, if you have an aggressive chewer I don't know how well it would hold up to chewing. This one in particular has these external parts so I might worry a little about a dog chewing the pieces off. My dog refuses to chew on anything so I can't really speak to that.Overall, I think this is a great buy! It will definitely work well for wet and dry food (but if you want to spread wet food on the bones, it needs to be very soft) and helps slow your dog's eating down while providing important mental stimulation.

This mat is teeny tiny! Barely holds 1 cup of food. It’s also really difficult to get the food under the little bones. My dog didn’t seem as enthusiastic about it as he has other mats. This would probably work better with a kibble that’s very small bits.

This was alot smaller than I thought it would be but still a nice puzzle feeder. I ended up giving it to my dad who has a 4 lb mini aussie puppy and it's the perfect size for her. It was just to small to hold enough food for my dogs. She really enjoys using it and hunting for her meals though. Its been great enrichment for her little growing puppy brain and I'm happy it's working out so well for her! If you have really small dogs I think this is something they would really enjoy and it's worth the price.
