I use this every night before bed. I have Lupus and suffer with joint pain and swelling. I wear thick socks and slide my feet into each chamber. The remote control is handy. The shiatsu massage, air compression, and heat options can be individually set to low, medium, or high intensities. You can use all 3 options, or.you can leave one or more off. The air compression is poweful on the high setting- it gives your feet and ankles the perfect squeeze. It’s helped the swelling in my ankles and feet, and I sleep really well! It mainly massages the heel and arch areas. If I want the balls of my feet massaged, I slightly move my heals out of the chambers. It’s very relaxing and is a good value for the money!

Here is a description that even the listing doesn't have.This unit has two sets of shiatsu rollers, one at the front 1/3rd of the foot, and another in the middle 1/3rd. There are no shiatsu rollers in the back, just what they call a 'tapper'. There are pressure air bags completely surrounding the foot on the sides, and one on the top front.Note I said the middle shiatsu is a roller. It's a full roller that can reverse direction. Both rollers on this unit can. Most other foot massagers have a shiatsu arm that moves back and forth in the middle instead of rollers.The unit is heated. It takes a while to reach full temperature, but when it does, it gets very hot.At the heel they have what's called a 'tapper.' It's better described as a thumper or vibrator, a strong one.Now, here are the operating modes:You can turn on the shiatsu rollers, and add heat, thumper and air pressure independently.You can turn on the thumper and add heat and add shiatsu rollers independently, but not air pressure.You cannot just turn on the heat. You cannot just turn on the air pressure.The rollers have three modes where they run preset rolling programs. The heat is either on or off. The air pressure has three settings from low to hi. The thumper has a speed setting, on a dial, from slow to fast.The unit will shut off after ten or fifteen minutes.Many on here complain there's little heat. It takes a while, but it's there. My suggestion is once you start to feel it, shut the heat off or it will get too hot. Once the heat kicks in and your feet are in it, it will trap the heat for a long time. If you keep the heat on, it could well get too hot.The air pressure is very strong at the highest setting.The thumper at full speed will vibrate your legs all the way up to your hips. My legs are a pleasant numb when the thumper is done with them.The shiatsu rollers in this are very strong, especially in the middle. This unit will definitely provide a very strong massage. One roller in the middle is set to be very high. This one is just inside the arch area in the middle of the foot. If you have sensitive feet, this unit might be too much for you. I'll give you a way to find out. Throughout my life I've seen people that can run around barefoot, even over things like gravel, without issue. If you're like me, I can't do that. My feet are too sensitive. If you're like me, this machine might have shiatsu rollers that are too aggressive for you. If you welcome a strong massage, this unit will do that.I have conversed with the manufacturer about the unit, and they are very responsive. If you have an issue, you should message them before returning. They respond in short order.No, I wasn't paid to try or describe this product. This foot massager is pretty good, I'll keep it to an easy-to-read list of pros and cons.pros:- the pressure can be very strong- the wireless remote is very convenient and works well- it gets quite hot even with the lowest heat setting- the kneading can be quite effective when combined with the pressure if you position your feet appropriately, and you can shift your feet to target different areascons:- the pressure is randomized. So, you can set it to "Low" "Medium" or "High", but when it inflates, imagine it rolls a dice to determine how much pressure it should apply, and the maximum value of this dice is simply dependent on the setting. if 100 is maximum possible pressure and 0 is no pressure, on low it might inflate to anywhere between 0 and 50, on medium it might inflate to anywhere between 0 and 75, and on high it might inflate from anywhere from 0 to 100. Some people might like this but I wish there was a way to disable it- the heat setting can get VERY hot. I always use the lowest heat setting because it's completely sufficient, and once the machine gets warm enough for my feet, i disable the heat setting to prevent it from getting even hotter. It is capable of getting uncomfortably hot, especially on the max setting. Imagine putting your hand under a faucet that is at or close to maximum temperature. It isn't hot enough to seriously injure you but it is hot enough to be uncomfortable. I wouldn't consider this a major con since you can just turn the heat setting down or turn it off, but it's worth noting.- the feet are pretty close together which can be uncomfortable especially if you're a man. I often find myself trying to sit in this thing with my knees flared out, but that can be uncomfortable because it bends my ankles so my feet can be straight in the actual machine. If the foot holes on this thing were further apart or they were angled so you could sit with a bit more space between your knees, that would be preferable.Overall, this is a great instrument to put under your computer desk and is worth the price, although it does have a few quirks. I got this on sale for less than $100
