Love it!
My 9 year old loves to build. He has a brown Lincoln log set and this is a great new option in bright colors! Great quality.

Great gift with lots to enjoy
My toddler loves to play with this thing. So many different plays available with the amount of pieces this thing has. Just make sure that either they're out of putting things in their mouth age or always play with them. A few choking hazards in it.

Took us little while to build, be patient
This is such a neat product. Such a simple concept but yet makes a cool building to play with. We got it for our 4 y/o, but it takes a little while to put together, and he lost interest pretty fast. My 8 y/o got a lot further with it, but dad still had to finish it. To be fair, I have kids that don't care to sit and build for too long. The directions are a bit lacking, but they are good enough to put it together. Once it was together, they loved playing with it. We used it as the vet stop in their wooden train town they built. Very cute for that. There are also a lot of other things you can build with this set. We built a couple houses. Even made a train tunnel. We actually had more fun just free form building then trying to follow instructions to build the vet set.

Just like I remember
Cute little set with lots of pieces. The wood is not stained but raw so your little ones could draw on them with markers, or paint them if they so desired. The fit of these isn't quite as good as I remember, as these will rotate at the connection points. If the cut was a little shallower then they wouldn't be able to rotate and would seat a little better, however, they still lock together and stack fine. The mat isn't a single piece, but rather a felt kind of material that fits together like a puzzle. It sits flat enough to build on, so I think it was a smart design choice so they didn't have folds. All in all I'd recommend the set and it should last a long time.

Adorable & Versatile
This is an amazing building set with so many different ways to play. You can follow the included instructions or you can do your own thing just like you could do with the original linking logs. The mat, car, and other accessories are an added bonus and help to add to the creative possibilities. Younger children may need help building the set "exactly" as it looks in the pictures. The pieces are smooth and the different colors make this set aesthetically pleasing. I love the versatility and at this price point, I highly recommend it.

Wooden Log Vet Building
We got this for my kiddo (4yo) on his birthday. We picked it up because he’s been eager to build things. He has a standard wooden one with brown pieces, but I loved the idea of a themed building set with colored log pieces. After he opened it, I tried to start putting it together for him and boy are there a lot of one pieces for this set. You follow the directions and have huge towers of one by one logs. Plus, it didn’t feel like they fit very well together, so overall it felt very unsturdy. I had gotten the bottom level done, with these large towers of one by ones and saw on the instructions that I needed to do the second level with the one by ones again and decided that since my kiddo didn’t seem interested in it at that moment, that I would just try again later. After building it, I still think it’s too unstable of a build, my kiddo knocked it down soon after. It might be better for older kids, but because of the time to build and play time from my son, this one wasn’t a hit for us.

Nice Lincoln Log set
This is a pretty nice Lincoln Log set. My 3 yr old enjoys building things -- he likes LEGOS, and his magnetic tile building set, so we wanted to let him try this set. Unlike the other building sets, this set requires a bit more thinking and planning to assemble -- my son has not mastered this set yet. I believe a 4 or 5 yr old may be more ideal age range for these logs. This log set brings me back to my old childhood when we played with similar sets. This set seems to be well made -- the wood logs are lightweight and easy to put together. The wood feels smooth to the touch with no noticeable splintering, and are well painted.Overall, I would recommend this set to foster a child's creativity and motor skills.
