Massimo Listri. the World's Most Beautiful Libraries. 45th Ed.

This review is for the smaller, cheaper version. It was a nice size (almost textbook size or large paperback), but it omitted a lot of well known libraries. I ended up returning it and buying the coffee table book on libraries by Candida Höfer.

As far as I'm aware there are no content changes compared to the 2022 edition. This one is smaller in size to save on costs. It beats having to pay six times the price for the original. While bigger is admittedly nicer, this "40th Ed." saves space so the trade off is acceptable for me.Pictures are pretty, and there's a substantial amount of text to go with them. It also has a paint-like new book smell (for fellow book sniffers out there).

This is a phenomenal book but the book (brand new) has a deeply offensive odor which makes it almost unbearable to keep around. It smells like strong paint and we’ve used bleaching agents on the outside hoping to “wipe off” whatever chemical has been applied but to no avail... Incredible photography and content inside but the smell makes it not worth it sadly
