I’m one of those people who purchase items at Amazon and only realize later I have to make another trip to the UPS Store.FINALLY a GREAT product that will not be going to the return bin. The humidifier is beautifully designed. What? A plain old humidifier beautifully designed? Yes!There is the base, the tank and a cover. However, the large center column that pushes out the water is backlit and changes colors depending on amount of humidity in the room. Three different colors show dry, comfortable and wet. I’m sitting in the bedroom looking at this unit and I find sometimes I just stare at it. The water shoots up the column out the top but since it’s backlit you see bubbles in the water and with the light it’s sort of looking at the bubbles in a fish tank. Am I weird that I find the reverse waterfall captivating? I guess I am because just looking at the tank is very relaxing,(yes really!)There are so many things I like about this unit that to list them all now would take three pages.As far as controlling the unit, DREO has its own app that you use to totally control the humidifier: level of humidity, beep sound on/off, turn front LED display on/off, auto/manual and level of mist entering a room. The app does pretty much everything you want to activate all the controls. If you are sensitive about noise in a bedroom when you are trying to sleep, I can honestly say that the unit is extremely quiet. As I stated, if lights or noise disturb you at night, you are able to turn off front display, light in center console and switch it to totally auto control without having to worry about adjusting air flow or amount of humidity. All you have to do is press sleep mode on the app itself.On top of all this you’re able to control the humidity with Alexa so you don’t even have to get out of bed.It’s not very often that I rave about a product for sale on Amazon, however this appears to be an almost perfect appliance with a great app. Oh yes, app was very easy to set up and guides you through every step including linking it with Alexa. Is this a perfect find? Could be however I’ll update this review after I’ve used it for a while but as of now I don’t foresee any problems!UPDATE: 3/2/2025As a former engineer I am very selective about the products I purchase, and now sure enough I have a gripe!I’ve found that while utilizing Alexa you are unable to ask to change humidity level. I said “Alexa increase humidity level” but it did not respond. Sort of like a lot of guys talking to their wives! I’ve also discovered that in auto mode it defaults to a very low output which was not effective to increase the humidity in my master bedroom. Funny that it’s called a MASTER bedroom because the dog runs the house and not me!!

The media could not be loaded. I love this humidifier! It is working out very well for me. I bought it primarily for my Parlor Palm Tree, as it was getting brown tips. So far so good. Easy to fill, easy to clean, set up is easy and quick, not too heavy to carry, and is super quiet. It has lasted as long as 4+ days, (96+ hours), and as short as 34 hours. It depends on the usage & setting. I keep it on automatic. It also depends on the humidity level in the room. The video I included shows the highest mist level, and the water level is filled to the maximum line. I clean it every 100 hours as recommended in the manual. You download the app, and there's a video on cleaning instructions, among other features. It has a cleaning reminder for maintenance. Once cleaned, you reset. You can set your target humidity level, and run the humidifier manually from the app or with Alexa. I do not use tap water. It can lead to mineral build up, dispersing a white dust. Distilled water is recommended. I do highly recommend this humidifier.

Turns on and off and back on when humidity gets low....I've had too many humidifiers, even a pan of water on the stove.This humidifier beats them all! Why, you ask?All of the other humidifiers are automatic, but they shut off as soon as they reach the humidity level you want. And don't turn back on when humidity levels drop.The Dreo is sharp looking. The light is very nice, even soothing. I wish there were more colors to choose from is the ONLY push back I have.The Dreo is accurate. I associate my health to the humidity level in my home. So I have a hygrometer in ALL rooms. And three readouts on those hygrometers match the readout on the Dreo.Most importantly is the Dreo is fully automatic-it turns on and off and on again when the humidity level drops.The Dreo is so quiet, sometimes I have to hit one of the buttons just to make sure it's still on/ working.The Dreo doesn't leak or drip.The price is A-Mazing!

This was easy to assemble, it is a top-fill style and it dispenses the mist evenly in my living room. Each time I fill the tank with distilled water, the water and mist last a long time because it is a more controlled output than other humidifiers. I took one star off for the main vent on top - it doesn’t seem to be very useful at dispensing the mist.

Quiet and runs a long time on a single fill up. You can turn the light and the display off on the unit if you're using it in the bedroom so the light doesn't bother you. Easy to clean and fill. Has several settings and will auto stop when the water runs out - it also has an indicator to let you know it is out of water. Very good unit, I am pleased with how it operates so far.
