I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dish set. I looked for over a year before deciding on this set and I’m so glad I found it!!! I have so much fun plating my homemade creations on these plates and they make me feel like a real chef! I’ve seen the reviews sayin they’re fragile but I’ve had them 5 months and they still look pristine, no chips! I put them in my broiler, my microwave, my dishwasher, I leave them in my sink over night, I bang them on my cabinets and counters, I scrubbed them, scraped them, and have even dropped one. Still perfect! the ONLY flaw is that the wide bowls don’t really fit well in a standard dishwasher. They don’t fit in plate slots nor bowl slots. But they’re so darn useful I’d hand wash them if it came down to it! This is the best possible value for your money GET THEM!!!

I am impressed with this set overall. It is a great price for this type of dishware set. Everything arrived in good shape and was packaged very neatly and carefully.It is a set for four people, so it is perfect for most of my get-togethers with friends for family because I rarely have more than 4 people at one time. The weight of dishes has a good feel, like sturdy enough that they shouldn’t break or chip easily, but light enough to carry around with a full serving of food on it.As I unpacked it, there were a few black spots on the sides that I thought were going to be an issue, but it was just a bit of tiny debris from packaging/factory and washed right off.The finish is smooth and shiny. The color is very good overall. Not a paper white, but better than some of my other “white” mugs from other manufacturers. The dishes do have some cosmetic flaws, but they are pretty minor and very similar to the small flaws in my other stoneware and porcelain dishes. The glazing or coating process can be a bit uneven sometimes. If you are familiar with stoneware, you will know this is the case.Overall, this is a great dish set. Since it is white it can be paired with a lot of other dishes and colors. I have some yellow and green Fiestaware and these look great together with it.I would not hesitate to buy this as a gift for a newlywed couple who is just starting out, someone for their new apartment, or for a college student who has a kitchen area, as well as for your own personal use. I would buy this product again. It is an especially good buy for the price. A similar set in my local department store is normally 2x this price!If you want more details, read on…Microwave use has been fine so far. The dishes do not get exceedingly hot while food stays cold like some of my other glass dishes. The food warms (and the dish warms too).These had no issue in the dishwasher. No chips or problems so far. I will update if anything changes.I have not used them in the oven. They say they are oven safe, but I typically don’t use any dishes like this in the oven so I have not had the occasion to try it out.This set is similar to a dish set sold at my local department store for $120 (I have seen it on sale for about $60). However, the dish set from the department store has 10 oz mugs and this Malacasa set has 16 oz mugs. I love the size of these mugs! They might be a bit heavy for some, but I like having the extra space for more coffee! The bowls in the department store set hold 20 oz and are not as deep. This set has 26 oz bowls. Again, I like having that larger size bowl especially for stew and I love the deeper sides. Many of the bowls in sets like these are flatter, almost like a plate. The deeper style doesn’t fit quite as well in the dishwasher, but oh well, I can deal with that trade off.I have included lots of photos so anyone reading this can see examples of everything I shared here. In a few of the photos one or more of the dishes looks a slightly different color. They are not. The color difference is only in the photo due to lighting/flash and not on the dishes. They are all the same exact same color of white (see photo that includes food and in the box before unpacking as an example).

These are beautiful dishes. Classic white look that goes with anything and everything, allowing you to add accent serving dishes in fun colors or styles. Rated a 4-star because while they were packed quite well, it seemed -- one of the bowls was chipped badly. Since it would've been the last bowl added to the molded shipping box, quality control must've been lacking. It was protected from touching any other pieces and well protected from the perimeter. One can only assume it was broken in packing and shipped out without notice or concern. They wash well in the dishwasher, they have not been marked by silverware and none have chipped in several uses. They match well with the square-bottom mugs purchased separately.

This Company obviously doesn't stand by their claims of being chip resistant. If they did, they would have given more than a 2 month return policy. I loved these dishes when I received them, even though it was weird that the shipping box had their name & logo on it, but their name & logo stamp wasn't on the bottom of each dish as shown on their online images. The dishes have a great sleek design and fit nicely in my cabinets. Even though their description claims to be strong and scratch resistant, I was still very careful in handling the dishes, and I don't overcrowd my dishwasher, after only 4 months of use, I already have 3 chipped dishes. This wasn't a cheap purchase and I purposely bought these porcelain dishes for their long lasting durability and being toxic free was a plus. So now little by little I'll be throwing away chipped dishes and soon I will have to buy new set. It won't be from them.

As expected

I purchased this dinnerware set and overall it looks beautiful. However, one of the pieces arrived chipped, which was disappointing. I was really looking forward to using the full set, but now one item is damaged.🥺Also, I think the plates are quite thin — I just hope they don’t get damaged after a few uses.
