Any will do as long as your comfortable. I use this Under my tights.

Q: Im a size 16 to 18 so do i go a smaller size because the whole point is to slim you down? Also are the bones uncomfortable when sitting down?

I’m the same size as you, tried a pair that size and they were impossible to get on. As they are underwear you cannot return. I wouldn’t bother with this on line - go to a regular store where you can chat to the sales assistant and make sure you are fitted properly
