Pros:- Extremely easy to setup. Can be done in couple of minutes.- Since it directly works on WiFi, you don't need any hub. Directly connects with your WiFi router.- Integrates with Alexa as Contact Sensor and so can be used in Alexa Routines or you can ask Alexa the state by asking "Alexa, Is <Device Name> open?". I'd set a routine to switch on my smart light if it's between 9 PM and 12 AM or annoce that the door has been opened if the door opens between 12 AM and 6 AM. Your imagination is the limit.Cons:- Does not come with batteries. So keep couple of them handy while it arrives.- Lag. Since these devices use WiFi and since WiFi is a power hungry and chattery protocol, the device is almost always in SLEEP mode untill you open/close the door. As soon as it detects that, it wakes up, connects to your WiFi, connect to server and then send the state. This can take anywhere between 2 - 10 seconds.- Also, since it's power hungry it takes 2 AAA batteries that can last between 6 to 12 months on your usage.I knew the short-comings but speed was not critical for my requirements. Totally recommend it.

I ordered 4 of these and non of them were working. Got in touch with seller. He replaced them.All are working fine. Ordering more for rest of property. Highly recommended.

Lag in sensing and also drains battery really fast I threw it in waste basket since they dont offer return policy

Battery consumption is high, new pair of battery was drained in week.In my case, it not working since 14th April 23, received a message the device is offline, and there on the device is not connecting to wifi.Batteries replacedNot connecting to wifi, reset didn't workDevice is not working.

The product is okay. No issues with it and it works okay with few rare alert misses with the smart life app. But the IFTTT integration is very poor. The device doesn't do a proper trigger to work along with other IFTTT services. If you wish to make use of the IFTTT integration, please stay away from this product. Eg. If you want to trigger SMS to your mobile when the door is closed /opened, the trigger doesn't work 90% of times. So you know how reliable it is. If you only want to use the sensor with the smart life app... you can make a happy purchase. Thanks for reading and happy to help!

good product made in India just app notification came little bit late other wise works fine go for it

Quality of product is very bad , circuit is wide open and its not holding it properly. there are no screw to hold it ... glue cannot fix it. Batteries are also not fixing in circuit properly.
