I rented just based on the trailer, and oh boy I am glad I did! A foreign film dubbed in some areas, but worth a watch! Great visuals, quiet build up of the main character. The main character wears his emotions on his face and just wants to be alone. When the bad guys show up, watch out bad guys. This man suffered a great deal, and "HS", they do not know who they F'ed with. A little over top, but believable, well told tale of revenge. You will want more!

My husband was the one who mentioned about us seeing this Sisu film together. Obviously I am thrilled that he told me about this film. Sisu pretty much deals with the action packed escapades of Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila) who tries to go about his living his life on his terms and minding his own business though try as he might there are others who appear to be determined to make it a part of their business to try to thwart Korpi's plans to do so. Multiple other actors/actresses featured: Aksel Hennie, Jack Doolan, Mimosa Willamo, Onni Tommila, Tatu Sinisalo, and more.

Finland had a unique history in World War II. The Soviet Union invaded Finland and when Germany invaded the Soviet Union, Finland became allied with Nazi Germany. However, eventually Finland signed a treaty with Russia and disconnected themselves from the Nazis, and so the Nazis decided to take revenge.The main character, Aatami, finds gold and is traveling on horseback to change it into cash. He had been a Finnish commando who lost his family to the Russians and went on a one man army spree against Soviet forces. He prospected for gold, wanted to collect his money, and live in peace. The German soldiers decide to try and steal is money. They are heading back to Germany, bringing a group of Finnish women who they rape for fun, and determine the gold is going to be a great find for them.Aatami turns out to be a one man wrecking crew who survives that which is unsurvivable. His ability to remain alive is over the top and unbelievable, and, in the end, fun. It's pretty much a movie about 50 Germans with machine guns, rifles, trucks, and a tank, against one man. They didn't have enough men, guns, or tanks against Aatami.The movie is over the top violent and even funny in some very peculiar ways. It's 90 minutes of fast paced action. The ending with Aatami at the bank is awesome. A fun movie.

One of my favorite plots: “They picked on the wrong guy”. Some parts tough to watch. You don’t just see the pain, you almost feel it yourself.

This was a fun ride all the way through. If you liked John Wick, you will love this movie. It is definitely worth multiple watches.

A little bit of a stretch - unless he is immortal. But a good action packed movie.

Seriously the dog steals the screen. I’mGlad he was given a proper credit for his role in the film.

If you like a revenge WWII movie, this is the one! Great story!

Un rambo finlandés enfrenta a los crueles nazis , muy entretenida película, me gusto mucho y con toques de humor negro, viene en español también.Recomiendo también de Finlandia "Talvisota,, Winter War" sobre la guerra contra la Unión Soviética, en la que el heroico pueblo finlandés demostró su valentía y determinación, el famoso "SISU" del que se habla en esta película. Bien dijo Zapata "Mas vale morir de pie que vivir de rodillas". Esa lucha, si bien con enorme sacrificio del pueblo finlandés, les preservó su independencia y honor nacionales, a diferencia de Estonia, Letonia y Lituania que fueron anexadas a la Unión Soviética. Un ejemplo de como la resistencia, del SISU de un pequeño país puede lograr grandes hazañas contra un Imperio, como lo hizo México contra la invasión de Napoleón III en el siglo XIX, Vietnam contra Estados Unidos y muchos otros .Lo peor que se puede hacerse contra un país agresivo y buleador es rendirse sin pelear, como la vergonzosa rendición de Noruega ante los nazis, vean película King's choice, donde lo único que salvó el honor nacional fue la indignación del Rey, frente a su entreguista y cobarde parlamento.

Je suis carrément sous le choc : ça commence doucement mais ça continue sur un rythme bien tenu sans temps morts sur 3 parties. On croit ou pas aux légendes. Mais le petit groupe de nazis aurait dû réfléchi avant de s'en prendre à l'or de Sisu..et on ajoute les Finlandaises qui ont réglé le compte aux Nazis (tristes moments de la guerre de la violence faite aux femmes. mais ce film est JUBILATOIRE on en veut encore et encore et les petites pontes d'humour c'est au top bien réalisé et très très bien joué. J'ai passé un bon moment. Un film simple épuré bien réalise efficace qui donne toute sa force à ce film ça ressemble à du Tantarino ? dans l'idée u n peu mais là on à faire dans du lourd avec u n humour bien particulier loin de toutes influences Américaines... du bon film Finlandais !!!!

セットアップで選択肢に日本語がなかったので英語で鑑賞。でも、心配無用。セリフが極端に少ないし、何より映像観てれば意味はわかる。嫌なことがあった日に、おじぃさんになったつもりで観ると、スカッとするかも。食事しながらは観ないほうがいいです。

La película llegó a tiempo y en buen estado. La película es violenta, pero su acción vertiginosa la hace muy llevadera, con unos efectos especiales muy bien logrados, viene hablada en español y subtítulos en español.
