I bought this because I recently picked up an old (bad?) habit of chewing on ice. The big square ice cubes from the ice trays just weren't cutting it (or they were cutting the insides of my cheeks lol) and so I bought these for easier to chew ice cubes. I love the container. It took me a few tries to understand how to fill these things. You don't have to fill them all the way. You can fill them about halfway to the top, and the lid will displace the water and force them into the round slots. The first time i thought I had to fill it through the little holes on the top of the lid (duh). Now i have perfect ice cubes every time.One suggestion. Find a container that has a lid with locking mechanism on each side. I have one that just has a plain lid that doesn't suction or have locking mechanism and we've had to clean up ice cubes off the floor at least 4 times in the first few weeks because the lid would flip and the whole thing would crash to the floor.

This set is worth the money if you don't have an ice maker and have limited freezer space. It takes a minute to get the spheres to fill, which can be annoying if you are OCD like me. And the ice doesn't pop out of the trays as easily as I had hoped it would, but the extra ice box and scoop are fantastic. And I do kind of adore the little spheres, pointless as that may be. So yes I would recommend this product. Just know its not as easy as just filling the bottom and pressing the top on if you don't want half spheres. But for the price, the set is decent. I would have preferred some kind of silicone ice tray with maybe plastic frame, because I doubt this set will last very long.

Although I like the trays and the sphere shaped ice they aren’t the easiest to use and messy. When froze the plastic is very stiff and I actually cut my finger this evening trying to get the ice out. As I slightly twisted to loosen to remove cubes a piece on the edge broke off and split my finger. Will look for silicone ones next time as I think they will be more flexible. I went with these because I didn’t know if I would like or use them often and the price was right. Also the large container to store them doesn’t seal well and cubes all stick together. I use a different container with a better air tight seal. Good luck.

I purchased one of these and only had it for one day went to break the ice cubes out and the tray completely broken half so I returned it for another one and that one did the same thing. Very poor quality would not recommend.

I loved this ice cube tray set. My fridge ice cube system broke so I bought this. I loved it for like two weeks til the trays started breaking when you would try and get the ice out. Besides that , the ice is a perfect size and I like the size of the container that holds the ice.

When we first made these we thought they MUST be smaller than advertised... But lo and behold, we whipped out the ruler and they are exactly 1" in diameter.They work great for ice used in the blender to make smoothies and stuff, due to their smaller size (larger ice cubes need more blender time and effort to break down). They also work to cool your coffee to just the right chilled coffee temp (you can use room temp coffee with these to make small coffee ice balls to chill your coffee without diluting it, too!)We haven't had a need to use the tongs that came with it, but I feel that's a personal preference thing. Also, we haven't had them long enough (in my opinion) to give the durability a full 5 stars... That said, we've frozen lots of lil ice balls in the past few weeks and there's no signs of cracking in the plastic, so I gave that aspect 4 stars.Overall nifty set of ice cube trays. And I plan to experiment more with what I can do with these!

I really like the product. It makes nice ice balls and having the storage box, scoop, and tongs are awesome. My only criticism is the first set I tried to demold, one half of the mold shattered in my hands. (And it should be noted it didnt just split in one place, it actually shattered and I had to pick out shards from the container.) While I know these are hard plastic, they should be able to withstand some twisting to release the ice balls. Now I'm down 1 mold which sucks and I'm worried it will happen again down the road. Hopefully it was just a fluke but if it happens again I'll def go with a different brand

I love that this set came with a storage box for the ice cubes and four ice cube trays. The little balls are the perfect size! And I appreciate the scooper. Sometimes it can be tricky getting the ice cubes out but for the most part it works really well! I’m super happy with this purchase, and I Love the ice cubes! Perfect shape.
