Panasonic VW-VBT380E-K Double Power Lithium Ion Battery

Exactly as the title says: A quality product from Panasonic that will last. Recommended without any hesitation.However, I do have a gripe about Amazon's delivery. This item came four days early than the estimated (I kid you not) so I wasn't expecting it when it turned up when I was out for an hour. In true cavalier fashion of Amazon they hadn't informed me of an impending delivery and promptly left the cardboard packet on the floor outside of my front door, in the rain, for all to see - marvelous.

It was a bit expensive but it was worth it as it means I can go out for a day of filming and there is still plenty of juice left when I get home. I kept the old (smaller) battery as a backup but I have never had to use it yet. definitely worth the expense to get the proper item made by Panasonic as well.

Ok so as all reviewers have said.... its 'bleeping' expensive for a battery and the cost keeps the review to 4 out of 5 for me.Fact of the matter is however that if you are complimenting a £600-£900 camera (as I am) then you need it. I use it for the WX970 which, being 4k and 2 cameras absolutley eats the OEM battery in about 1hr if not quicker. Personally I feel Panasonic should give this bigger batt with the 4k camera but that is another story.This batt does what it says, holds charge for 3.5hrs general on off use along my recent trip to China and only died once when filming a wedding.... I did of course have its smaller OEM brother that came with the cam to bail me out.So yes.... a must for most but given the price of batts these days its £30 more than it probably should be.

I bought this battery because even i spent so much money to buy the Panasonic HC-VXF990EBK 4K Camcorder the battery which been included is so small and needs to be recharge soon so you miss a lot of your beautiful moments or events. So i spent more money to buy this one with the hope next time i will record to have more time to catch more events than before.

Charges up with no issues and works well in my VXF990 Camcorder.

Perfect product that has become extremely useful. This has over doubled the battery life of my video camera, I don't know how I lived with out it.

This longer life battery though very expensive willl provide much longer power availability for this camcorder. I was originally confused by the Panasonic website description/spec for this battery as it listed it as having a length or depth of 6" which would make it longer than the actual camcorder itself!I assumed it might be in reality around 2x the depth of the standard battery and it was in fact about that size when I recieved it.It is a good product but too expensive for what it is at this stage and will hopefully come down in price soon or there will be cheaper 3rd party equivalents available soon if not already.

I am so glad I brought this. Last holiday I forgot to recharge it and it was on half charge but it still did loads of video for the holiday so I was saved due to this extra long battery.It does the length claimed and looks natural in the camera. Definitely a useful buy.
