Item description either/or both inaccurate or debatable
Firstly, this 'tin opener' is not as pictured - the one pictured looks like a reliable one that you could purchase off a hook in the Coop. Secondly, I would say, as inferred, that the description 'opener' is wholly an inaccurate one. It barely /reluctantly achieves the task it is meant for. IT STRUGGLES KIDS, BADLY! It has joined the choir invisible. Bereft of use, it rests in peace, If it hadn't been called a tin opener it would be pushing up the daisies. This is, and always was, a useless, remains in the drawer 'tin opener'.

Where's Arnie When You Need Him?
The butterfly is almost impossible to turn, unless you're Arnold Schwarzenegger, and even he'd struggle, I reckon. It appears the cutting blade is far too thick to cut through the tin comfortably. A serious design fault IMHO. I won't recommend to anyone but an ardent bodybuilder.

Good
It's a tin opener....it opens tins !Works better than a lot of the more modern style tin openers, and unlike some of the similar devices available it has so far proven sturdy & doesn't slip when winding.

Does not open cans fully
The opener goes round the can but does not cut all the way through. You are left trying to pull up the lid enough to pour out what you want. Also the butterfly handles are sharp and could cut the finger.Rubbish.

Better than modern versions.
Headline says it all, tried a variety of can openers and they usually break after a month or two of use, I remember this type of can opener from when I was a kid, it was my mums goto and even she consistently had issues with the newer type of can openers, so I bought two, one for myself and one for my mum and haven’t regretted it, sometimes simplicity is better.

Works well + seems well made
Doesn't seem to matter what other tin openers are in the drawer (all more expensive than this), I always seem to come back to this kind as they always work well

Still the daddy
Butterfly operation still cheap and reliable, though thin modern cans can be deformed in operation.
