Love It. Don't know how on earth we managed without it. We recently moved into a flat that had been occupied by an elderly woman with mobility issues before us. So many thing were left unkept for a VERY long time. One was the entrance floor to the flat. It had been stained fairly badly. We tried Mopping and scrubbing but nothing really did anything other then push the dirt about. I decided that I was going to finally break down and get a Steam Mop. I had been looking at several different ones for a couple of years now. And this was the last push to make me choose. I decided to get this model because Vax had been rated on the Gadget Show as a higher quality value for your money and with the price it was being sold at I knew I needed to act. We got it with in a couple of days of ordering it which was great. And I managed to get the husband to work on cleaning the hall. I have photos that I will share of before and after. It did take a couple of cleanings as the floor was so bad. We first went over it with the mop bit and it removed a large amount of the stain but the husband wasn't satisfied so he broke it down to the handheld and with attachments steam scrubbed the floor. I can't believe the amount of difference there is. I am beside myself. This thing really does work. It does what it says it does. And takes only moments for the water to be ready to steam. It is lightweight for what it is. And not to have a MOP and Bucket. to not have to bend over and wring out a mop every few moments and have to keep adding hot clean water to the mop bucket to keep it hot enough to get down the hallway is just brilliant. This mop takes so much effort out of a mundane chore. I felt like I was cheating somehow on cleaning. I also like that there is no soapy residue left behind. and the floors dry almost instantly after. I can't praise this little machine enough. I strongly recommend it.

Had the same mop before purchasing this ,the steam was more powerful on the old one a bit disappointed

Works a treat, not to heavy and does a good job

VERY IMPORTANT.1. NEVER try and lift the mop off the floor with the mop extended out at arm's length. You will SNAP the handle.All the weight of the mop is at the bottom and is quite heavy so when lifting always have the mop close to you with the handle pointing upwards. If you think of trying to lift a chair with your arms stretched out in front of you it is very hard and your arm will struggle to take the weight, stand next to the chair and lift straight up and is easy. Works the same with the mop.There are lots of reviews staying the handle snapped and im sure they lifted it while extended. Lift straight up and not a problem.If you have to lift up when extended then please use your other hand also on the handle lower down on the detachable part where most of the weight is.2. On using it as a hand unit with the small tools the angle of some of the tools can be adjusted by turning the tool 180 degrees then locking it on.When using it with the small tools only work the steamer up and down, not side to side. If you need to go side to side the turn the main body of the steamer to work in an up and down action. If you use it side to side the tools keep falling off which you can read about in many of the reviews.When using it as a hand steamer i had one hand on the handle and trigger and found i had to support the main body of the steamer with my other hand as i found it very heavy using one handed.3. It will show ready to use after about 15-20 seconds but if you try and use it as soon as the ready light comes on then it will spit out some water before it starts to steam. I left if in the sink for a minute and presses the button while it was in the sink to make sure it did not trickle water before turning to steam. Seems to work better at the start if you give it that little bit longer to heat up. Doing that when using as a mop will avoid you starting with a puddle.I have only just unpacked the steam mop and used it once to clean round the bath and once as a mop to clean the kitchen floor.I read a lot of the bad reviews before so was not expecting much and thought there was a good chance it was going to be returned but was surprised as i found it works quite well as long as you take note of what i have said.As a hand steamer cleaning round the bath i found it heavy and hard work but it did the job.As a mop cleaning the kitchen floor which is cheap laminate it did a great job. It did not over wet the floor and cleaned it very well. Do not try and do it too fast just gently and slowly push the mop and it will do a great job in very little time.If the main reason you are buying this steamer is to use the detachable hand held steamer part i would advise you to look elsewhere but if the main reason is to use as a mop then it is a great buy.I can put up with the detachable part not being great because it will still get the job done and the mop part is top marks.
