The only review you ever need to read about this game :)
So I have a problem. I have no vices apart from the need to aquire board games. Over the past twenty years I have bought about 200 games. I don't always keep them, but I have a collection big enough to ensure that no woman would ever consider dating me. Luckily I have a wife who puts up with my compulsion - although since being married I rarely buy a game these days.Anyway, what I'm trying to day is that I know board games. More than any human should if they want to be considered normal.Despite that, I think this is the first board game review I have put on Amazon. And the reason is that I think this may well be the perfect board game. For me, anyway. It fulfills my board game requirements.First of all, this game is simply a lot of fun. It's not a take-that game - but you do trip up other players. My step-daughter who is fourteen and asks me to play this game virtually every day, was placing lots of bets on a horse and using her actions to ensure it was getting extra movements - and I managed to buy the horse - ensuring that if she got it over the finish line in the top three, I would be handsomely rewarded for her hard work. We both laughed. The gotchas just don't sting.I also now loom for games that are easy to pick up but have plenty of decision-making. This game does that so well. I played it with six players at a game night and everyone knew what they were doing very quickly. And all of them loved the game and wanted to play again. I said no of course because I despise every single one of them.Just joking - I was shattered and it was really late and I needed to get my step-daughter home before her mum smashed my face in. But I wanted to play again. And here's another thing. The game plays so well with 2 or 3 or

Brilliant fun for everyone!
After playing this with friends we just had to get our own copy!We play it with our kids (aged 12 and 8) who picked up the rules in no time! Great fun to see how the early bets sometimes either begin to pay off or your horse will start losing pace and fall behind! The way we generally react you would think we were actually at the races! If I had to point out any negatives, it would be that the markers are not great. One was dry out of the box and the erasers fall out of the ends very easily. No big deal, we consider these nice accessories to get you started anyway!Highly recommended!

Perfect game for lively group situations
This has a party game feel but with enough going on under the hood to keep you interested. The drama of the race itself combined with throwing bets on different horses and messing with your opponents picks can lead to some raucous playthoughs.Highly recommend but be aware while it feels like a party game once it gets going there are a good few rules and getting everyone going can take a bit of work.

Great game
Well designed game that leads to hilarious situations when played with larger groups. Rule explanation can be a bit daunting for first time players but once they get going I've yet to see anyone not have a blast with it.

Good fun, let down by bad markers
This game is good fun- it took 80% of a game for it to "click" with my not-very-game-savvy parents which is honestly better than most!Once players know what they are doing it has great pacing, with dice rolls and actions happening quickly and providing a lot of fun and shouting. The use of dry-erase boards is good but this set is let down by the trash-tier pens that are included. The tips are too large to even write a legible "X" and the ink used is so watery that it spreads out further and fades away.Get your own fine-tipped pens to prevent frustration.

Couldn't play it
Ruined game night for us the 8 included wipe clean pens not one of them worked all dryed out im guessing. They are essential to the game and is unplayable without them.Hugely disappointed
