StetsonMen's Bryce Straw Hat

Fit, quality, price, and extreme care in packing and shipment make this an awesome straw cowboy hat choice. Reminiscent of early Hollywood Western style hats ( think John Wayne in “Stagecoach”) this one is a winner. True Stetson quality, based on their original Stetson style but in high quality palm straw instead of felt. Tuff and beautifully finished. This hat is along the lines of the style that made the company famous at the turn of the last century. Great fit. I wear a 7 1/2, and large fit perfectly. Just as the size chart recommends. I’m a 60ish guy, but my wife flipped for this one too when she tried it on, and ordered her own. And yea, great sun protection to boot. Beach, hiking trail, or horseback.

I got this hat based on reviews and description.It lives up too much of what I read.It’s a Stetson, so a quality hat.It feels good, and even though its Mexican palm, seems as if it will last a while.Fit is a bit tricky, being that it comes small, medium, large and extra large.I’d ask the seller if you don’t have any experience with Stetson in these sizes.I wear a 7 1-4th, so I was told to buy the medium. It fits a bit tighter than my other hats, so I’ll try the suggestion in one question and answer to steam it, then wear it.It’s a good fit, just might could use a little extra room.I’ve worn my hat a few days, so I’ll need to revise my thoughts on fit.It seems for me, my hat has loosened, so now fits nicely.Maybe because it is palm, it forms to your head.It has a wet dry, or cloth sweatband, not leather, and that could also help with fit.As far as it is breathing, or venting, I’d say it does better then a hat with these eyelid things, but not as good as a truly vented straw. Maybe with a little wear, the palm will loosen up some, so breathe better.If you like this hat, buy it quick. It won’t last long. One of my peeves with Stetson is they’ll only have a specific style available, or color for a limited time.Now, that’s good on one hand, but bad for slow deciding folks like myself. Smile. Sure, Stetson has other palm hats, but not exactly like this one.Its “the hat”

I used the size chart from the stetson website and it worked perfect. The hat is a solid stiff hat and the rim doesn't blow up or down in the wind. The rim came curled up but I just molded it a bit, straighted it out with my hands a few times and it flattened out which helps with shade. It is big enough to offer shade over face and neck. The leather strap keeps the hat from falling off. It is comfortable and in the Texas heat I haven't had a problem with excessive sweating due to lack of air holes. Price is reasonable for a well made hat and you know it will last a long time. Would recomend.

Nice hat. Fits well. Shaped well. Arrived in good condition with nothing bent or crushed. Comfortable. Pretty much as expected except for the variation in color. I get it that this hat is made from natural products and therefore I expect some SLIGHT variation in tone and color of the straw. This one however, has enough variation that I initially thought it was dirty. Upon closer inspection I realized that what I was seeing was just color variations in the straw. My youngest son likes it better that way so I guess in the end it’s just a matter of preference. If color matched just a bit better, I would’ve probably added the 5th star. Overall tho, it’s a keeper.

I live in a very walkable community. I wanted a wide-brimmed straw hat with a chin strap for windproof sun protection and have always liked the Stetson brand. I also have a big noggin and have to wear men’s hats. When I opened the box, I was surprised how wide was the brim. I wasn’t sure I could pull it off, but I wore it anyway because I love utility. Now, I love this hat. It provides excellent sun protection, and I like the look. In fact, I am stopped all the time by ladies asking me where I got my hat. So long as your head isn’t tiny, I recommend this hat for both men and women.

We help with a Chuck Wagon on occasions in Gatherings and Cook offs. We need to dress in period attire. This hat works for that and is very comfortable and is light weight but seems very durable. I also do BBQ's and Cowboy style cooking for parties and this hat will be perfect for that also.

I ordered this hat a little under a year ago and I’ve worn it quite a lot since then. I live in a very hot desert climate and it has been very useful keeping the sun off of my face while walking, gardening, working my horse, out and about, etc. I am pretty careful with it and never leave in the car or direct sun unless I’m wearing it, as it was an expensive purchase for me.The reason for the three instead of five star review is that some of the straw has been peeling off of the outer ridge, exposing the metal tubing underneath, one spot the metal tube comes apart into two connecting pieces. I tried some superglue.. I just wish the hat was a lot more durable, for a Stetson I kind of expected it to last forever!

It is a great light weight hat!

I just wanted a straw hat for doing field work; it turns out there are a lot of hats on Amazon. I chose this Stetson because it comes in sizes, has classic lines and strong durable construction. My head measures in at the top range for large. It fitted snug at first and is stretching out just enough to be comfortable. I might not have cattle but I do have the perfect start hat.

Love this hat! Arrived promptly and was well packaged. Fits perfectly....some hat sizing tape was included which would adjust the sizing on the hat, if needed. Very satisfied....great customer service!
