Mosquitoes need water or they dehydrate. Female mosquitoes need water to deposit their eggs. Mosquitoes have the ability to land on water where they are able to drink and lay eggs. Water tension allows mosquitoes to land on the surface of water and not sink. Mosquito Denial reduces that water tension making it more difficult for the mosquito to land and lay eggs or for existing eggs to remain at the surface.

Interesting concept
Considering the high ratings this has gotten, its just soap - sodium laurel sulfate (a surfactant). Not sure that I want my fish to have to deal with soap in their pond. Also not sure the film on the surface will be effective if you have a fountain disturbing the surface.

Doesn't do anything
This is not working. I keep adding to this liquid to the water collecting on the flower pots but despite my efforts, mosquito larvae keep growing. They seem not to be affected by it at all. I'm not using it anymore since it's completely useless. I actually had better luck keeping the mosquito larvae at bay using citronella oil than this junk! I'm now using Mosquito Dunks. Unlike this product, they work, and since they are solid and slowly dissolve in water they last long, often for several weeks.

Mosquitos gone within a few days
It works! Put the instructed amount in our fountain because the mosquitoes were hatching like crazy from there and they disappeared within days.
