5 Star Customer Service - Even after a year later!!
I'm fairly handy - desk assembly is nothing compared to diy home stuff. I was actually impressed with the packaging, and how 2 sets of hardware were included. I took my time assembling, go to use it and get an “E10” error that WILL NOT go away. Instructions for errors are bare bones in listing and instructions. They do not remedy the issue. Upset that I have an adjustable desk that doesn’t adjust. This is ridiculous.Update #1 - Emailed Monomi, and they sent video instructions on how to clear error. Instructions did not work. Monomi’s next email asked for a video of me following steps to clear E10 error. I complied and sent a video. Now they are asking to speak about the issue over the phone.Customer service offered instructions that did not work for my control unit. The desk was listed for $340 two weeks ago and now listing for $280.Update #2 - My review was referenced in an email from Monomi. I am still waiting on a resolution to the issue. Worst thing about a 55” desk that doesn’t work is how much space it takes up while you are not using it.Update #3 - A new motor is on the way from the manufacturer. They emailed me this morning with a tracking number. Amazon sent a replacement desk, and the new motor/control unit works. Now my desk rises a little on the motor side, but will not rise on the left side. So I emailed Monomi about that with a video of it. Waiting to hear back.Update #4 - It took a new motor, new control panel, and a new leg (non motor side) to get my new, broken out of the box, desk to work. Now that it finally works, it's great. I like that I can adjust it and set custom heights.Having dealt with assembling the desk, having to remove and reassemble, and then finally packaging the old desk to ship back - IT JUST ISN'T WORTH IT. I spent $330 and considerable chunks of time trying to make this work, and multiple essential parts were faulty out of the box. At the end of the day, the top is still multiple pieces of particle board, so I have doubts for the longevity of the desk. Time will tell...Update#5: After over a year of use, near daily height adjustments, the desk still works like new. Monomi just came out with a caster kit for the desk, so it can be moved easily, and offered me a complimentary set due to the initial experience. Throughout this experience, their customer service has been superior to any other item I've bought. I can't say enough about how well they've treated me, and the timeliness in responding to concerns. I will not hesitate to buy from Monomi in the future because of the confidence I have in service after the sale.TLDR: Bought new desk that did not work out of the box. Motomi did their best to correct the issue, and sent me the parts I needed to make the desk operational. Their superior customer service sets them apart from the competition, and has earned a customer for life due to the care and consideration after the sale. Buy with confidence.

Great desk for the price - getting castors was an extra step
First, the reason I took off one star is because this product is advertised as coming with castors, but acquiring the castors was an extra step. You had to request them via email (instructions are provided in the box) in order to get them and I found that process to be a bit sketchy and misleading. I did request and receive them, but why not just send them in the first place? It's annoying to have to add the castors after you've already assembled the desk. I think most people would like to put all their stuff on it and start using it right away. I would have preferred to know before opening everything up that I would need to wait a few days to receive all the parts. If you're using a monitor mount like I do, receiving the castors a few days later is annoying because you have to take off the mount in order to turn the desk over and add the castors. That said, I only knocked off one star because I still think the DESK is nice for the price and not everyone will require castors. Now for the rest of my review:I found this desk to be a great product at this price point. I've been using the 55x28 model for about two months and it's sturdy enough for my needs. I attached a mount for my laptop and additional monitor on the back and the motor seems to handle the extra weight just fine. I like that the desk isn't so bulky, lightweight enough that moving it around isn't cumbersome, but not so light that it moves when you don't want it to. I found the height memory easy to program. I find the contrasting color panel in the middle where the keyboard would typically sit to be an odd aesthetic choice, but it doesn't bother me that much. The assembly took me about an hour. I enjoy assembling box furniture so I have no complaints about that. If you're not a fan of product assembly, you might not like that aspect of this product. There are several steps and you need to pay careful attention.

From Someone Who Despises Assembly (and Struggles)
Let me start by saying it's a great desk, functional and visually appealing. But if you aren't the best "builder," the notion of a 30-minute install may not apply to you. It took me 90-minutes and I did have to backtrack once. To avoid frustration, I made made notes of what helped me or what I wish I had (or had known) prior to starting:PLEASE NOTE, not intended for more advanced users or those who don't mind / enjoy assembling things.1) Reference the quick video BEFORE and AS you assembly. See Installation video available in listing details. And read over all the instructions to get a broad idea of how the build progresses.2) Organize the items in the order they are used as illustrated in the instructions3) Double check that you are positioning items the correct way. For example, I my side panels weren't labeled and I didn't notice until securing the sides that one is different and holds the control device. The holes for the control should NOT be on the same side as the cord holder.4) If all else fails, or concerns still linger, seriously consider getting the Expert assembly when you purchase and keeping your sanity.

Excellent Performance, Functionality and Price for 55" Wide Electric Adjustable Stand-up Desk
As a long-time work-from-home employee, I finally decided to purchase an electric stand-up desk and decided on the Monomi 55" adjustable height desk. The desk arrived in a well packaged box and as described. Installation was relatively easy with just a couple points to consider during install . . . The written directions need more details at a few key steps for emphasis and clarification for proper placement of desktop pieces. It's critical for the buyer to pay VERY close attention to the details within the instructions, The manufacturer seems to favor pictures and written instructions are few, so you will want ensure you are aligning the parts correctly by paying strict attention to the visual details to avoid some re-dos. My guess is that some of the reviewers who indicated that some holes didn't align may be due to not aligning the parts correctly. Other than the instructions, I found the design, engineering, and manufacturing of all parts was extremely well-built for high quality. After installing and tightening everything the desk works great. I used the pre-cut hole that comes with a grommet for use as a cable chase but I opted to use that hole as a pass through and anchor location for my dual monitor stand instead. The desk is perfect for my needs and I've been using it daily the last few weeks now and couldn't be happier with the purchase. I highly recommend the desk.

Works but needs improvement
Desk seems to work so far. Came fairly fast after ordering and assembly was simple enough. One step had a duplicate diagram of the previous step, not a biggie. The programmable controller is nice, although makes a loud beep when waking the device up. Livable so far. My biggest complaint has been the casters are not shipped in the box. Only a card with a hotmail email address to request them. I’ve had no response yet or any idea on when we’d receive them. Now when they do arrive (if) I will need to clear my desk again to install them. I’ll try to update in a couple weeks where this ends up at.Update:Email on May 17th. After some back and forth for purchase number and address info, I received the casters on May 24th. I’ve also been asked to remove this review but with my messed up moral code, I’m leaving it. Knowing what you are getting into is important with purchases on Amazon and I hope folks do the same for me. Added a photo of the final setup with casters on. Cheers.
