Accutane Holy Grail

Why did you pick this product vs others?:On Accutane, EVERYTHING gets super dry — skin, lips, inside of nose, eyes. These are a must-have for me now during my course of meds, but as I generally have dry eyes, I’ll likely continue to use them after the course as well.I used to wear biweekly contacts, but my eyes started to get so dry after about a month on Accutane that was having to replace them every few days instead of every other week, despite constant application of Refresh Relieva for Contact Lenses, which got expensive fast.I switched to dailies, which helped a little, but they’d still feel scratchy by bedtime and were pretty scratchy to remove.I have used harder-core drops/gel/ointment/etc. in the past for general dry eye, but many of them are blurry or uncomfortable. These are not blurry or uncomfortable at ALL — they feel like regular eye drops, but less cold due to the oil content, and they’re safe to use with contact lenses. It’s recommended to put them in 10min before putting contacts in, but I haven’t had any issues putting them in immediately beforehand, or even with them already in if I need eyedrops in a pinch. Yay!!I find if I put these in after taking my contacts out before I fall asleep, my eyes aren’t dry & are MUCH more comfortable (like they should be!) when I wake up in the morning, so I don’t dread putting in my lenses for the day. The redness from the dry irritation dissipated in a day or two. And, if I use the drops Immediately before putting in my dailies in the morning (I don’t have the patience to wait…), I don’t usually find myself needing drops throughout the day unless I’ve been in the wind or something. With the castor oil in there, these are essentially what barrier cream is for skin (moisturizing & holds in hydration), versus typical drops (e.g. Refresh Relieva), which would be more akin to a hydrating serum (combats dehydration, but will mostly evaporate without a true moisturizer on top).Overall I highly recommend these for anyone with dry eyes who wants to maintain visual clarity, for contact lens wearers (use as advised by the box to be safe), and those on Accutane or any other medication that causes dryness. Wish I’d found them sooner!

Lasts a good while, stays on eye does not drip off eyelashes onto spectacles.

Refresh Mega-3 drops do last longer than the OcuSoft MGD. They are thicker in consistency which means blurred vision for the first 30 seconds, not suitable for keeping in the car due to that. I'll continue to use OcuSoft in the car.The advantage of the thicker consistency drop is that the drop remains on your eye and does not run down your eyelashes onto your glasses. This is probably why the drops last longer. The OcuSoft are "cooler feeling" with more soothing initially, but that is short lived. The Refresh Mega-3 do a great job of keeping your eyes moist longer.I find the extra packaging in sachets as unnecessary and you have to use scissors to open up the sachets to get the individual droppers out. I keep droppers inside the original cardboard box, so the sachets don't really help keep sun off the droppers. Seems pointless. The droppers are resealable. As long as you throw away old droppers the next day, it shouldn't be an issue with contamination. These drops are preservative free which is very important to not further aggravate dry eye.

Long time user, recommended by my eye doctor for quick evaporating tears

If using eye drops, be sure to check with your eye doctor because not all dry eyes are due to the same reason. Some people don't create enough, and others have tears that evaporate too quickly. My situation is the latter, and my tears evaporate too quickly. This product came recommended by my eye doctor about 5 years ago. I use these drops twice a day, whether I need them or not, to help prevent dry eyes. The eye drops are stored in the small plastic containers, and although I think they are intended for one day use, I can usually get two days out of them. The removable cap can be placed back on the cap to prevent evaporation of the product. These travel very nicely. Now if someone could just invent a way for me to hit my eyeball every time when putting the drops in, that would be wonderful.I am typically very frugal, but these eye drops are worth the extra cost.

Makes my eyes feel the best of all I tried. Hope it does the same for you?

I’ve been using this product for over a year while I was trying other products and I always seem to come back to this. So this is what I’ve been buying lately. I have a few others that I’m using and they’re OK. One of them sting so I totally wrote that off. The other ones made my eyelashes crusty so I’m kind of writing those off and again as they said, I keep going back to this one. I don’t know if the flaxseed oil or whatever but it feels good in your eyes, and I don’t wake up with the dry eyes so looks my forever one

Excess packaging confuses me

The product itself is great. Really helps with night time dry eye problems. It's more viscous than other brands I've tried so far.But I don't understand the point of having individual dosages. So much extra packaging- for what? Other eye drops come in tiny bottles that fit in small spaces. How much smaller do we need to go? And these individual doses are really enough for 2-3 doses, so to avoid waste I try to prop up these little vials to use the rest later. But the design won't allow for that very easily, so it spills. Also it dries out because you can't recap the vial once you twist off the top. I just don't understand the need for all this. Tried to find this exact formula in a bottle but I can't find it. Maybe there is one but marketed under a different name/label?

I highly recommend for blurry vision.

Works wonderfully. I’ll soon need cataract surgery so my eyesight has become very blurry, even with my RX glasses. These drops are making a huge difference.

great drops, gentle, wish they had a gel form of this too

Top notch for a plain liquid form. No irritating preservatives. Wish it was less expensive. Wish ophthalmologic companies were still making other dry-eye products that used to be available and disappeared! These individual units are great for carrying in pockets, wallets, etc.

Great lubrication

Recimmended by my ophthalmologist since they contain Omega 3. Does a great job!
