Wish I had bought one of these ages ago. Stops the dies slipping on plates or having to use low tack tape. The dies cut better too.

Used it as a replacement plate in big shot it works great.

It certainly works in my Big Shot Pro for routine die cuts. Whether or not it would be good for those intricate dies that are difficult with standard plates remains to be seen. I haven't tried with Bigz dies though - only wafer-thin dies. I'd be concerned it might be seriously damaged by Bigz, but that's just a feeling.

The media could not be loaded.  I’m an occasional customer of Craftelier - as much as their papers are brightly photographed but dully coloured in reality - their tools are great, so try imagine my disappointment when I received this Magic Mat.The mat arrived in original packaging, seemingly unopened, but on closer inspection it had been used (see video). There were cut marks and glue smears which didn’t come off when washed. For the price however and the lack of a direct communications line to the company, I decided to keep it.The mat does work as shown on the introductory video, replacing a cutting plate, cuts well and embosses in one go. Beware though if you have a Gemini die cutting machine or another with thin plates - the Magic Mat deforms, which in turn deforms and stretches the paper (especially large pieces, 5”, DL). I trust the mat would do much better with a flat-bed machine like the Sizzix.Other than that - the cut marks never disappear completely, and the mat doesn’t self-heal like it would after a blade cut, possibly because the nature of due cutting is different to blade cutting. The photos were taken 24hrs after die cutting and heating to try to straighten the mat and get the cuts to heal.All said - I’m going to keep my mat and even buy another for my other machine as I rather like it’s cutting and embossing performance.

Such a great substitute for using 2 plates that scar and warp really quickly and a very good price point too

I’m getting much better quality die cutting using this mat. I’ve used it a lot and haven’t needed to try heat healing yet

Excellent product which has all the features that are required packaging is perfect and I would really recommend purchasing if you are thinking about it

Fits my mini cutting machine perfectly. Not as self healing as expected, but will last much longer than my clear plates
