Q: Does it have brushless motors?

Yes it does. I have taken the time to look inside They are brushless DC squirrel cage fans with sleeve bearings. 2 batteries one side each, low on each side. The unit is well constructed. I recommend wearing one's hair up if is is long.

Q: What is the plate purpose? I thought it was supposed to get cool to touch?

Without the plate, your skin touches the back of the product (plastic) directly that, when heated by the body temperature, stays warm. With the plate, the product feels cool every time you wear the product.

Q: what is the sound db level?

it depends on where your fan is at and how far away from your ears it is. other people when you wear it say it’s really quiet but personally when i wear it (i am small person so it’s closer to my ears than other people) it feels fairly loud when on the highest setting. on the highest setting it’s like but less than standing right in front of the air things when you walk into a store but the lowest setting is pretty quiet. when i’m outside i often forget it’s on if it’s on low. idk db and idk how to measure that

Perfect for outdoors

Hubby has been using everyday for work and is definitely happy with it. Has been such a source of comfort for him in the blistering Dubai heat. Air comes out cooler and the cool plate for the back of your head, adds more coolness to your skin. Go buy one if u have not!
