Perlite is a great product for drainage so you will definitely need to buy a quart of perlite as well...ok?Buy top soil to and a bag of Epson salt --- so now you have 4 ingredients.... Good job let's carry on and stay calm 👍🏼Find a large rectangular container or use a raised planter - use gloves or a big spoon to mix ingredients & wash your hands well after.1.add the entire small bag of mulch that you see at the top of the page here that I'm writing a review for & add 1 cubic of top soil2.add I quart of perlite3.add 2 hands full of apsom salt -- this will boost up your plants! And get rid of other pests... okay 👍🏼Got it? Ok thanks!! -- let's mix it up with a big spoon or wear gloves and mix it up well ..oh say for about 5 minutes it must be mixed well due to so much dirt and ingredients..ok? 😉 You are doing a great job 👏🏼 BravoOr maybe Mmmm you would rather use Miracle Grow 🪴!! Yay! right on & no problem kiddos 👍🏼 let's go do it1.buy I cubic size bag of Miracle Grow and add to:2.1 quart bag of perlite3. add half a bag of top soil ( the cubic bag)4. 2 hands full of apsom saltMixed it up very well for 8 minutes due to more ingredient...ok? 🥴 Sorry not sorry but you gotta respect the job if you want good healthy energy in the food...no pun intended.Now students 😁 let's have a lesson together in gnats & bugs -- yuck they suck..😅 well they get on my last damn nerves 🙄 aww just go away! Hahaaaa 😂 let's kill it & kick it.But on the flip side --They die in dry soil so let plants dry first PLEASE!!! and don't overdo it with water in other words don't over water don't overthink the plants they will definitely be fine just check on them every day don't miss a beat cuz gnats is the enemy..btw they look like mosquitoes 🦟 but I don't think they bite.Sooo:Wait longer between watering your plants because bugs like gnats will die in DRY soil & you will get rid of bugs......you dig where I'm coming from ? Kool 😎.Here's some help:Use gnat traps the sticky paper - place one in the dirt inside the plant pot 🍯 or place it near the plant by the table or spray plants with neem oil ..it's cheap for about $6.99 a bottle will last a long time because you promised to wait longer between watering...ok?I just want everybody to have a great garden this summer because food is definitely high as hell!When you are ready to place your plants outside and transfer to the raised planter or ground:* Determine how far apart from each plant:By reading directions on the seed package & make sure you have a measurement tool ( you can buy one here on Amazon) for each plant before you get started because tomatoes 🍅 or cucumbers or peppers 🌶️ measure different just like corn 🌽 or watermelon 🍉 .. YASS! All fruit & veggies are different measurements...1.dig holes twice the size of the plant2.loosen the plant containers so the plants will be easy to be removed from the pots3. turn 1 pot over at a time holding your hand on the bottom so that the plant doesn't fall apart....Nice!! good!! 👍🏼 glad you made it this far...I'm proud of you 👏🏼.4.place the plant in the hole you just dug & cover up the top with the soil & press gently don't force it...ok?5.after all plants are in there holes water them but rememberrrr!!! Very good quality and when following directions and soaking it in water, it expands and gives you quite a bit of mulch from what looks like a small package.

Read the instructions first! It’s deceptively good and provides a large area of coverage for such a small package of mulch.

This product is NOT for outdoor use. I have a small (2.5 x 10) garden area in front of my kitchen window. I am ordering my third bag of this product.

Product was good enough. Too compacted in the brick, hard to undo.

Great for my reptile substrate!Also used the excess for the top of my tropical plants

I’ve just ordered more of this amazing mulch. I barely have any weeds, the ground stays a nice temperature with good moisture levels. The color looks great, too!Update: I hydrated the last cube last week and added it to some containers that were faltering (dry, stunted, bug-eaten). The plants (herbs, flowers, chard and kale) have perked up and started producing. I am expanding my garden, so I am ordering more now!! This has been one of the most valuable things I have purchased for my vegetable garden, growing in this Texas heat.
