Works great! Lightweight and super portable. I use this bug zapper outside and inside. It's still early in the bug season here, and I am hoping to get ahead of the mosquitoes before they have a chance to multiply. Despite the unit being light and a cute design, it packs a wallop! The first time I heard it zap a bug, I thought a glass window had cracked - it was that loud! It is still jarring to hear the loud zap, but it's reassuring to know it's working.A fly got into my kitchen recently, and I brought the zapper in, turned it on and went about my day. Sure enough, next time I came back into the room there was a dead fly! Usually the dead bugs are on the catch tray at the bottom or sometimes on the bulbs themselves. Very occasionally, like with the big fly, they get stunned and fall a few feet away from the unit.Because this zapper is so lightweight and portable, I feel like I don't have to buy several units, and can just carry this one room to room and outside as necessary. The extra bulbs included in the package is a nice touch, but I suspect these bulbs will last a long time.I am careful to keep the zapper away from pollinators.

If you HATE fruit flies with a passion…BUT THIS NOW! I’m moving and with the constant in and out. Doors open and windows open for cleaning, and a teenager who leaves food in their bedroom…it seems every fly in the neighborhood has made its way into my house. Sprays are expensive, smelly, toxic, and just don’t work and now I’m stuck repainting walls where spray ruined them. I plugged this bad boy in and within 30 seconds…literally…I heard the devine ZAP of death. I have a bit of mental health back thanks to this!

This zapper does the job! I live on a cattle ranch where there are many flies and insects.

The product was fine but whoever Amazon is using for delivery services need some training . Why would you leave a package out in the rain when you could have laid it on the many things that were available things in the carport where it would have stayed dry!

Had it for 1 month+ now, it does an amazing job with zapping bugs but also looks very nice aesthetically. My kids love to leave the backyard sliding door open and this is a must have!

Well let's talk about it. This bug zapper is a little larger than I was expecting but that is a good thing so something I am happy about, I've used bug zappers before but I've never used one that literally zapped the bugs out of existence LOL, when a gnat lands on this grid or flies close to it you get a loud pop similar to those little white firecrackers that kids like to throw on to concrete it's actually like several of those going off at one time for just one little nap it's extremely loud when a bug hits it which is probably why I can see a flash and hear a pop but I don't see the evidence because they disintegrated, I thought that this electrical grid inside this thing was set up so that a bug would have to land on it and touch another part of the grid in order to be zapped by completing the circuit but that's not how this works apparently I was wrong all a bug has to do is get near it or just touch it with a wing or leg and they explode like a stick of dynamite and it is definitely loud enough when it happens to startle you, I have been having lots of problems like everyone else with fruit flies and not being able to find where they are coming from I live in an RV and you can eat off of my floors because that's how clean my RV is I only eat in one spot I never spill anything I never leave food anywhere I never have dishes in my sink these fruit flies are not coming out of my drains so they must be creeping in through the doors or some other unknown opening in my RV but they are coming in somehow and when they see these UV lights inside this bug zapper they can't resist it they go right to it and all you hear is a blackcat firework popper popping really loud, not to mention they also sent two extra bulbs so that was a definite plus this was well worth the price so I do recommend it, I also have a 50 gallon fish tank that I have about 20 or 30 fish and when it's time to empty this tray of bugs that do happen to fall in it that are not just zapped out of thin air I actually dumped them into my fish tank and my fish absolutely love these bugs as a treat if you're looking at this type of item and your researching just go ahead and buy this one because this thing is nuts.
