This is a pretty good book with patterns and instructions for creating 12 easy quilts with jelly rolls (2.5" strips of fabric) or layer cakes (10" fabric squares). Best suited for beginning to intermediate quilters, this book is full of clear pictures and easy-to-follow directions for creating colorful quilts & projects. Many of these quilts would be perfect for showcasing novelty fabrics, and for making quilts for babies and children. I recommend this book, but I do wish it included more patterns of interest to me (I like 4 of the quilts a lot, but the other 8 projects are not of much interest to me). I bought this book to make the chicken quilt. It turned out SO cute! I did find a couple of mistakes, but it wasn't hard to figure out. Hope to make another quilt from this book. I highly recommend it!
