Lifesystems EX8 Anti Mosquito for Nets - 50ml

Bought this as we were due to go on holiday to Asia, and looking at pre treated mosquito nets they were really expensive, so I bought a an untreated net and looked at expert reviews to see how to best treat it. I bought this product as it contained the the most effective mozzie killer chemical, and though it says only treats a double size mosquito net, if your mosquito net is nylon, it will treat any size. I poured the solution into a thick black bin bag and then added my mosquiton net. Tied the bag up and sloshed the solution around so it coated the net. Took the net out and dried it flat. used it on holiday and did not get bitten once whilst sleeping. Whether that was due to mozzies not being able to get through the net or the extra protection of a treated net I cannot say. But it did give me extra peace of mind. Using a treated net is WHO recommended.

Bought this for use in a mozzie-fested country and although I'm unsure whether they die or keep away, it definitely worked in not coming near us. Followed the instrucitons like everyone else, hung it up and despite my crappy net having a few holes in it (doh!), they didn't enter.... sometimes we see them hovering outside the net waiting in ambush for us but they don't seem to settle on the net, like they used to, or indeed come in. Well, actually, there was one time one bugger managed to enter but we saw nor heard sight of it. Don't know whether the blighter perished or ran out for dear life but I definitely think this product is worth it. Despite someone mentioning the WHO sanctioned this product, I ain't so sure whether us humans aren't affected in some way over time or in the short term!

This was easy to do. I washed the nets to get the dust off, dried them, then , wearing rubber gloves,individually put the water and the Permethrin into a large plastic bag, then soaked the net in the solution for 5 mins, squishing and turning the net to get it thoroughly soaked. I then lay it flat on a plastic sheet until it dried, turning when it appeared dry on top. I particularly like the fact that it will last for 2 years, or many washes. Any insect that lands on the net now does not last long, so a mosquito free zone at night !

I have used this many times before and its an absolute must. It stops the mozzies landing on the net in the first place. It has a slight odour at first, which isnt unpleasant but it fades anyway.

Good stuff. You can dilute it to the ratio stated and apply via a spray-mist bottle as well as the dunk method suggested. NB to wear gloves and safety glasses. This is nasty stuff if you get it on you. Really effective however.

I bought this mozzie net treatment to use on the curtains in my truck.As a nightshift worker sleeping through the midday sun is no fun as windows need to be left partialy open for a cooling airflow but every fly and mozzie in the area also come in for thier lunch,ie ME!NOT NO MORE.Weather they die on contact with the curtain or are repeled enough from even trying to enter i cannot say.Downside.It smells quite strong for the first week or so.Upside.Im no longer on the menu !!!I have to say this stuff does what it says on the label.

Not enough in the bottle for the price. Barely enough to do one net. Forget it if you want to do multiple items.

good to use - does the trickof course this is environmentally questionable (not this specific brand alone, but products fo this type generally) and our net smelled strong of it afterwardsbut certainly works

This treatment is used for treating mosquito nets that has been washed a few times, if you have just bought a new mosquito net from the (brand: Lifesaving System) you don't have to use this product as the new net from Lifesaving system has already been treated.

Product needs clearer descriptive instructions. The quantity of liquid produced when the product was diluted was much smaller than expected and it was hard to know how to get it to cover the net. Once you got started it was better.

Didn't get Malaria, so it seems to work! Easy to apply and the smell was ok.

Recently bought and used this for the second time to treat sleeping bag liners against mosquitoes. First use was for travel through SE-Asia and experienced no bites or anything buzzing near us, despite knowing mozzies were in the room.

Quick delivery, clear instructions, great product-be sure to use gloves and be in a well ventilated area-this stuff smells!!
