You can use one to six segments to lengthen or shorten the handle. Like an antenna. Works very well. Net size: 3&1/4" X 2"Disclaimer: I don't have an aquarium. I use it for my humidifier tank cartridge water softener. Might be a little harder to net a live fish, than a cartridge.

Fantastic!
I have a big tank. 125 gal. This is great! Reaches everywhere to pull out stuff. Has a soft net with big enough holes to not spook the fish. Very sturdy. Well made. I’ve had aquariums for 60 years. This net is a good one. It collapses down for easy handy storage! I love it!

Clever idea!
I ordered this fish net as it had a telescoping handle. I have a 45 gallon tank that is quite deep, and the standard nets don't enable me to get to the bottom of the tank. This has a telescoping handle (think old radio antennas), so I can extend it to 24" and fold it back up when I'm done. Great idea!
