Exactly what I wanted! This is a great product and easy to use! I found that using a chip brush worked better for me than a cloth. The wiping off after drying time was a bit more physical than I thought but not too bad and worth it! I love the protective coating it adds! Very smooth and buffed! I used it on some wood boxes I had laying around too because it was so much fun! The smell wasn’t as strong for me as some other reviews. I am sensitive to smell and there was no odor afterwards in my room at all! Didn’t wear gloves and my hands didn’t smell either. Can’t wait to use this again. I’d say I only used 1/4-1/3 of the bottle!

Definitely shake it well before trying to use it. I’ve used Briwax liming wax and I like that the thinner consistency of the Amy Howard Brand allows more control and subtle results than the Briwax. I strongly suspect that thinning the Briwax with its solvent would produce similar results.I prefer the less glossy, natural looking patina that I easily achieved with the Amy Howard to the thick, waxy look of the Briwax.I turned a 1910 five panel door into a headboard and I didn’t want a glossy look, so I wiped the wax off of the original, more porous wood after about ten minutes, rather than the thirty minutes recommended. The new wood that I was able to match to the original is a different species, oddly enough and is a smoother, less porous surface that required a much longer set time for the wax to achieve a reasonable match. I’m very pleased with the result, but I had to experiment on scrap to get there.I didn’t really notice the size of the bottle when I ordered it for 21.00 plus shipping. It seems expensive, but I would order it again if I had a specific project in mind for it.

Vintage Wood Cerusing Wax by Amy Howard At Home was easy to apply, and the result was exactly what I wanted. I applied it with a waxing brush to stripped, very old oak, brushing it well into the grain. The wax seemed to almost melt into the wood, leaving a very subtle limed effect. I let the wax cure for 24 hours and buffed it to a satiny sheen. If I could change anything, I would want this product packaged in a can. As I used more of the wax, it became difficult to squeeze the rest from the bottle. Other than that packaging complaint, the product itself is perfection. I would buy it again.

The cerusing wax claims it "hardens" and protects the wood. I watched the video on Amy Howards site and i tried multiple times to age it. The first time I waited an hour to buff it and it comes off easily. When you are spending $20 for a small bottle you expect it to work. Then I waited a few days and tried again. I left it on till the next day. Buffed again with a soft cloth and almost all of it comes off. Also you see the streaks/lines. After a third time i gave up. Its not as easy as it claims. I want my money back but i know i wont. never again. I have a feeling you have to be an expert. A big WASTE of money.

Awesome awesome product with high end finish. Love consistency also will purchase again!
