Q: Is there a trick to cleaning the drop sensors? Mine is new, but stuck on this "clean sensor" thing. I've cleaned them with a cloth.

This most often happens if you have a dark or black floor, which this bot does not really work on. 1. You can heavily light the area while its cleaning and the drop sensors might get the light. 2. More technical, but its pretty easy to open the unit up and disconnect the drop sensors, just don't run it near the stairs or its going donw them.

Q: Where can i buy the pw-d010 hard floor cleanser it recommends to use with the shinebot?

Bissell Multi-Surface cleaner for their stick power mops is compatible with this mechanism and is in Walmart, or wherever Bissell vacs sold. Used it for a couple years in iLife Shinebot (originally not sold with a cleaning fluid). Main thing is not damaging the plastic seals and parts, or being too viscous (different than fluid for Bissell carpet washing machines, with another name). Similar to countertop spray detergents. Use 1oz per pint of clean water (tank holds 1.75 pints).

Q: I have spot rugs in the kitchen and hallway, will it go around them or do I need to pick them up everytime?

It will probably go around them, unless they are super thin. It goes around the rug in my hallway

Q: How do keep it from going on carpet?

It comes with a roll of strip that when put on the floor, it will act as a virtual wall. You can cut the strip to the size of the virtual wall size that you need to block, a door way or a carpet edge or any where you don’t want the mop to go to. You can also simply put any object in its way to keep it from going to certain area.

Not reliable.

After few days, the robot started to be very noisy. No assistance in UAE, still waiting for the spare parts from the manufacturer since 2 months and I have to fix by myself!
