Prevue Pet Products Replacement Platform Shelf for 7500 & 7501 cat Cages, Black (7503)

I really like the quality of the cat condo I bought. I bought it because the ledges seemed stronger and would hold adult cats that I sometimes foster (which they did). I would suggest that we could buy replacement pads for the ledges, instead of having to buy the entire ledge - which is spendy. Again, I've done a lot of research on cat cages/condos because I do a lot of fostering and most cages/condos are flimsy. This one is very good quality and sturdy for bigger cats. Love it!

This gives me three shelves in the tall (3-high) cat condo along with the hammocks that we mounted high.What I don't like is the spots you can install it are limited by the doors. I put it on the left at the door opening and the hinge binds when opening the door - still functional but annoying; -this really should be fixed as it would be easy to mold it properly. I'm going to do some adjusting by filing away a bit of the plastic at the hinge but this oversight is inexcusable and I took off one star because of it.

I wanted one more level on my allegedly 3 level enclosure that only came with 2 levels. This should have been included in the original product.

It didn't fit the cage I purchased it for, the latches for the shelf were too wide for the bar width, so I snipped the bars to make it fit. I bought wood platforms that have worked MUCH better. Its plastic which is a big drawback in my opinion, and the price is absolutely ridiculous for this 1 small plastic platform. The felt top can be removed and cleaned which is good since I have a rabbit in the cage, not cats. I'd assume cats would scratch that felt to piece in no time.

I bought these shelves as extras because the cage came with 2 and a hassock. I felt since the cage was being left outside, i bought some more shelves to give my kitty more places to lay. Great product and very sturdy. Would recommend

Not much to say, other than that they’re *exactly* like the original two shelves that came with our Prevue Premium 4 Level Cat Home (It came with two shelves and two hammocks, but our cat was afraid to use the hammocks and so was stuck at the bottom. Now he can jump, jump, jump back and forth up to his bed on the top shelf.)

Perfect addition to my cat's condo! It added just the support that I needed for the litter box.

It would be 5 stars if the little white nubbins that hold the fabric in place actually did the job for more than 3 days. Hmmm... need some redesign here. But a great additional shelf even if you have to abandon the cover.
