It truly seems thicker than a 1/4" diameter. I sew, and I would call this at least 3/8", though not 1/2". It was only a problem because I had a tiny shih tzu puppy, and it looked absolutely cruel to have him with this thick leash around his neck. However, it worked well, I liked the leather to keep the collar at the right size and not choke the dog, or let him run away. The color was perfect, absolutely true to the picture.

This lead is perfect for training purposes. I needed a lightweight lead that wouldn’t hinder my dogs when training. This lead allows me to easily slip it over her and I can adjust it to her specific size, and I can use it with my other dogs, which I love. I like how comfortable it is to hold. The length is great and it’s easy to adjust. It’s definitely worth the money for anyone looking for a sleek, comfortable, and appropriate training lead. As a trainer I dont recommend this lead for walks, especially with pullers and or reactive dogs. This is strictly a training lead. My only criticism would be that the handle opening is way too big for my hand/wrist.

My favorite training leash. My dog trainer recommended it to be. He guaranteed less reactivity with it. I turn it into a figure 8 and put it around my dog’s muzzle. I have more control with this leash and feel good knowing it doesn’t hurt my dog. He can still eat, drink, bark and even nip with it! It’s not a muzzle. I bought this brand bc it is softer and more narrow since I have a little dog. In all honesty it took my dog about a month to finally get used to it and not fight it. In the end it was worth it! Reduced reactivity at leash 50%! I’ll take this any day over a choke or e-collar.

This is a great way to get better control of your dog. If you get a lot of pulling from your dog on walks, I recommend this product because it gives you control of your dog by positioning the leash high on the neck.

It's perfect for my small dogs

I adopted a three month old pup and have had him for about four days. I’ve been using this lead to walk him, and I kid you not, the lil guy is already great on a leash. Minimal pulling, easy to give a correction with, easy to apply pressure to turn, doesn’t choke him and already he knows to walk on my right side and looks to me for direction when he’s unsure. Great leash. I haven’t taken him hiking yet, but I believe this lead will be a life saver when navigating trails. Also my puppy is the bestest smartest cutest puppy ever to exist :) lol

My dog has been pulling me around on walks for years (he is 10) to the point I stopped walking him because it just wasn't fun. This leash is curing him of that bad pulling habit! Now when he walks a few steps ahead of me I calmly say to him "Noooo." and he promptly slows down and looks at my knees to get in pace with me again. Love it! Admittedly when we started with this leash a month ago he didn't know what was going on until I cinched the leash tight enough around his jaw line and said "Nooo". I slack the line every time he walka in pace with me as a reward. He likes that. I don't have to cinch it tight any more when he starts pulling me, he follows the verbal command. I am more than happy with this product!

We bought this for our 15 year old dog who has arthritis and leg problems. He did not like having his halter put on anymore and was not enjoying going outside. We bought the slip lead and problem solved! It slips on and off easily yet helps us keep him safe by still being on a leash.

Really surprised at all the positive reviews for this. The rope is stretchy so really not suitable as a training slip lead.

I bought this just as a rope with a handle to tie to my kayak. It's not a 7ft rope, it's more like 5'6" and that's with nothing inside the loop where a dog's neck would go.
