Q: Could this work outside in the winter? I am from MN and looking for a cold plunge pool.

I use it to take a hot bath. Didn’t try to install cold water, and didn’t notice whether there was a cover.

Q: Is this actually strong enough to rest in, seems like the poles are weak?

it works like an above ground pool, the water helps give it stability. however im 5'5'' and if i sit on the bottom like the picture shown ... my neck will not reach the edge so i have never actually been able to "rest" like that.
