Buzz Bomb Hot Pink 3"

that sucker will break off when you finally hook that nice yellow-eye. For anyone who's not familiar with these ...
These things are killer on rockfish and ling cod. Unfortunately, the colors I usually use were about three times the price of the yellow/red ones when I ordered, so I'm going to have to try something new. DO NOT forget to install the bumper because when the metal piece flutters down and hits your knot about a thousand times, that sucker will break off when you finally hook that nice yellow-eye.For anyone who's not familiar with these lures, you drop it to the bottom, either straight down from the boat or cast it out and bump it back until it's right below you. You want to lift it a good several feet off the bottom, typically 5-6, with each bounce, and let it flutter down in between. I use a 7.5' medium action rod with 30# braided line and I'm fishing in about 150-200' of water over a rock/shell bottom. I've caught every kind of rock fish, true cod, ling cod, and even halibut on these for many years.

Mediocre.
the little bumper is easy to lose. I didn't see any increase in 'catching' with this lure. I would not buy it again.

My Go To Lure For Almost Forty Years !!!
Buzz Bomb lures are hands down the best lures available. You thread your line through a hole that goes through the entire lure lengthwise and tie it to the hook. The lure spins on the line without twisting it. The rare very unique design of this lure is not only to present a bait that looks like a meal, it presents a bait that has been wounded by another fish. This means a hard strike almost every time. When a fish sees this bait is wounded, they immediately think the fish that wounded it is on the way back. It then goes into competition mode and nails it hard and fast, no second thoughts. I troll, cast and jig with Buzz Bombs. I do prefer to jig though, even ice fishing. When you drop a Buzz Bomb jigging it gives a wounded fish action best compared to a 1 inch wide piece of cedar shingle broken off lengthwise. If you were to toss that piece of shingle in the air, it would spin and zig zag its way to the ground. This is what a Buzz Bomb does under water when it falls. The easy meal wounded bait fish presentation. Theres nothing else like it. I've caught many monster Pike and Trout in Northern Saskatchewan. Many Walleye as well. This last few years I've been in the Pacific and caught many nice Salmon. The summer before last I caught and released 6 nice Halibut in under 45 minutes jigging!! My first ever Halibut! A very exciting lure to use. It gets hit harder than any other lure I've used by a landslide.

A+
Had more bites and catches with this hook than any other where I live. I used a bigger hook as the one they supply us quite small.
