This is a tale of two sides. The alluminium circular guide is beautiful. The disks work well but are cheaply made and don't run very true. The dremmel clone is dire, it's hugely noisy and the speed control is virtually useless. Other than as a paperweight I don't see a use for it. On first turning it on it ran so far out of true it gouged a nasty groove in the main component. After fitting a proper dremmel and working hard on the alignment of the mandrel and disk it at least ran without chewing itself to bits. Whilst hand holding it was difficult to use and seemed to suck the tungsten into the unit but this was caused by vibration. After mounting the cnc guide in the vice (not the dremmel) it worked well and I sharpened about 25 tungstens with no need to slow down.So, if I hadn't needed the 2mm hole one of the alternatives would have been better. The cnc main part is great, the mandrel is ok, the disks are poor in both flatness and true running but work. The dremmel clone is a disgrace and is not fit for purpose

This solution does cost a bit compared to some other variants of the same basic idea, but to me it looks like THE best solution for fast, accurate, and safe Tungsten electric grinding.This "red" version of the rotary tool is powerful, fast, and exhibits no bad behavior that I can see or feel.The multiple angle and Tungsten diameter choices cover a broad range of welding needs.The methodology enables fast, and accurate, smoothly finished Tungsten electrode tips.Proper setup is pretty easy if you follow the instructions.The only negative I experienced was that it is impossible to fully tighten the mandrel into the tool using a wrench because the cylindirical walls of the grinding attachment prevent full rotation of the wrench. But, this is easily overcome by using small vise grips for final tightening instead of a 10mm wrench.Some users have described the diamond disks as being a biut flimsy, but they work fine, and stay true, unless the user is pretty ham-fisted in handling them or applies way too much pressure to the Tungsten electrode while grinding.Overall, this is a quality and very usable and convenient solution if you want to optimize your Tungsten electrode shape, grinding grain, and cleanliness. If your budget can handle it, it's a great solution. And, if you already have a suitable rotary tool, the actual gridning attachment alone without the tool is much less costly.It's hard to go wrong with this solution.

Works as described, good quality product.

I received this product a couple months ago and threw it onto my welding shelf the box was all taped up and it sounded like everything was in there.I opened it a couple weeks ago and everything but the electrical tool was missing. I contacted the company with no response and Amazon has been unhelpful.Wish I could offer more insight but with everything missing, I just have a Dremel.

Like: It dress up the tungsten ok and shipping is fast (Prime)Dislike:1. The tungsten needs a hard push to get into the hole.2. The cup gets really tight to remove and put back.Verdict:The hole for the tungsten needs to be improve so you dont need to fight to get it in. The cap cover needs to be modify.

The product works great. But it didn’t last but a month. Unfortunately, I didn’t purchase the warranty. Very disappointing.
