Tech Armor Privacy Ballistic Glass Screen Protector Designed for Apple iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus 5.5 Inch 1 Pack Tempered Glass

So I've bought Tech Armor before and was highly satisfied. This time around I decided to buy the Tech Armor privacy glass version. I thought this was 4-way protection but lo and behold, it was mentioned in the description that it was only 2 way... if only I took the time to actually read it.Still for what it claims to do, this is the best 2-way privacy glass protection I've found. I've never used the glass version of the privacy screens. While I do love the protection of 4-way privacy screens, this glass version does protect horizontally (left and right). As long as you are viewing your phone right side up in portrait mode. In all honesty that's all you need as people are usually sitting or standing beside you in most situations, while your phone is facing upwards as you view the screen protecting prying eyes in front of you. Just be careful if someone is standing looking over you in a train or similar situation. There is no privacy there.The touchscreen response is good and the screen seems to protect from fingerprint smearing and oils from your hands touching it.One more thing to note is how the privacy glass screen shows true colors and brightness when looking directly at your iPhone's screen. Unlike most privacy screens, it doesn't dull the color and dim the brightness. Your screen only darkens and blurs to unreadable when tilting it to the left or right.The 360 Privacy Screens from Tech Armor not made of glass are the way to go if you're very paranoid about snooping eyes. They darken the screen a lot more but make it difficult to see in detail even with brightness turned all the way up. The main benefit from those is if reading private emails or books in public. But editing photos or playing games on those screens are more of a hassle.For what it's worth I'm starting to like this 2-way glass one more. My screen still shows very clear for photography and editing, while giving me good privacy when I need it.

First time I discovered the Tech Armor privacy screen it was on my Tech-illiterate mother's phone and I loved it. I've used it on every iPhone I have had since.This particular version offers 2-way (that is left and right side) privacy - they offer a 4-way privacy version but sadly, that version is more of a film protector and not glass like this one.Since this one is glass, you get the same smooth feeling as if you're touching a bare screen. Be mindful, if you drop your phone, just like with a normal screen, it can crack - sometimes it'll only be a small crack, but that small crack ruins the privacy aspect so the phone appears brighter along the crack.

Obviously if you buy a privacy screen / it’s going to be a little harder to keep your screen bright enough without draining your battery. I love it though! I will only ever buy this brand of screen protectors. It comes with installation instructions and you can watch tutorials on their website for extra help.

Big fan of Tech Armor, this is my fourth one (5s, 6+, 6s+ & 7+). All privacy glass. The edges don't line up perfectly but it's honestly not a huge deal, I get the privacy I need. This is meant to keep people from snooping when they're standing to your left or right... not behind you or facing you. as for the ones complaining about the lines on the screen, they go away once the glass has set into place after a couple of days, you would know that if you read the instructions or have ever used a privacy screen..love that it's glass, it's protected my screen numerous times. it will dim the screen during the day time so if you have bad vision or don't like to squint, stick with the clear glass. sometimes you need to duck into a shadow to fully view the screen if it's a sunny california day and you left your brightness level down.works perfectly around nosy people (trust me). always get asked if i'm pretending to be on my phone because the screen looks blank from others POV. check amazon warehouse deals, they usually have a few and they're a couple dollars cheaper all because the package was bent.

Tech Armor has always done wonderfully for me in the past, saving me from many broken screens, and honoring their warranty. The glass also holds up MUCH better than other brands I've used, which have cracked from being in my pocket or from small drops.This privacy model works well for it's purposes. I can see the screen clearly, while it is dim and fuzzy from either side. It's not perfect, but I understand that no privacy screen is. While using it, brightness is decreased slightly; as a positive, there is almost no "side glow" to bother others at night. The screen also appears to have a very subtle dark/light "micro-candystripe" pattern over light areas. This is barely perceptible, but something that I didn't expect.In the end, I think this works well for its purposes. It has the obvious downsides of making showing a screen to others more difficult, but can protect privacy if you are accessing private information on your phone around others who don't have a need to see it.

This is by far THE BEST screen protector I’ve had - WELL worth the money. My phone screen is dark enough that people to the side of me can't see It, but my view of it is AMAZING. It looks so clear & I haven’t had any problems with fingerprints. It was SO easy to install (I literally lined it up on my phone & tapped the middle of the screen - it easily sealed itself with no bubbles on the first try). It fits my phone perfectly & I love that it has the curved edges. I will only buy screen protectors from TA from now on.
