This cut great through the carpet and I was able to reveal some pretty decently preserved hardwood underneath. Huzzah! The blade folds easily and also opens up smoothly - I don't have to wrangle it back into the handle, nor do I worry about losing a finger when it opens. The blades are also removable and can be replaced. Overall for the price, I'd say this is pretty unbeatable. And you get four so you can leave them all over the place!

I can't believe how well these work. I expected lower quality for the price but I would say they are on par with the box stores. The only difference is the handle is plastic instead of metal. But I find that the plastic isn't so ruff on the hands.
