Easy to install, works as intended

The dimensions shown in the Amazon ad for this product show the peak of the weatherstripping to be 1" above the outside edges. However, the adhesive strip is one "one side of the mountain" so when you put it in place, the weather strip is nearly flat. In other words, there is no way this will cover a gap anywhere near 1", more like 1/4" at the absolute most.I have a good 1/2" gap to cover. I'll see if I can find a way to install it without flattening it too much, and update this review either way. But first impression is not good.

It’s no doubt quality is good but doesn’t make sense adhesive on wrong side Attaching on bottom

I had really high hopes for for this product. After installing it I actually see more light at the ends of my garage door 20’ . So I’m not expecting it to do even as good as the less than 2 year old seal that was flat and non resilient. That aloud water to poor into the garage around the corners.

Garage Door Rubber Seal Strip received the other day, had an idea to seal the inside of my garage door having small gaps on 16-foot-wide door where in meets floor and found this product for the garage door inside bottom, it was perfect to what I had in mind, I will replace the strip on the outside of door along with adding this product for the inside. I read before some had problems with the adhesive tape to getting it to hold or saying it is on the wrong side, the surface must be very clean, no dust, small dirt particles or moist, any tape will not stick to that, and this seal was designed for the inside bottom and is why the adhesive tape is where it is.Look, anything takes a little time to custom fit to your application, not all the same, the maker did their best to meet it 99% we just have to think for the 1% to make it perfect fit, for me I had to replace my galvanized stabilizer strip at bottom because it was not flat that locks in my outside seal and makes the bottom door panel ridged, so I just removed it and attached to the top of garage door, and top door panel stabilizer looking in perfect condition and put that on the bottom, this 1% effort made it so I will never have to think about it again, you can take the time effort to do a good job or take the time(s) later and try to fix what should have been thought out from the start.I am pleased with Garage Door Rubber Seal Strip and will serve their purpose for years to come on my garage door. :)
