I've had gastro/reflux issues for many years, but recently I had a very debilitating bout of reflux that kept me feeling awful for several days. I lost 15 pounds in short order because I simply could not eat anything.Chugging Pepto, anti-gas/acid chews, and even omeprazole (which usually helps) was not enough to ease my discomfort.My Doc recommended I try the OTC Zegrid before trying something requiring a subscription. I started feeling relief within 24 hrs, and continually improved over the next 3-4 days and was back to normal after. I was very pleased with the ultimate results!This may only apply to me, but I did want to note that the first couple of days while taking it, I did experience some discomfort. Nothing as bad as the reflux effects, but more of a feeling of being 'dried out' inside, up into my esophagus. This passed by the 3rd day and was maybe just the medicine working. In any case, this product really worked for me and I am grateful such an effective product was available OTC.
