Likes:1) it's the PERFECT SIZE for making "custom" slide soles for Dexter "SST-series" (and similar) bowling shoes.2) the material is EASY TO CUT - just make sure you have "fabric-grade" scissors that are NICE AND SHARP!3) the "Loop" (black "fuzzy") side adhere's well to the Dexter shoe's "Velcro hooks" (almost "too well"? ;) )4) the THICKNESS of the pad is PERFECT for the slide shoeDislikes:1) after cutting out the sole, there is a bit of "waste material". However, I'd rather have "waste room" than have to "jockey, etc." the "template" sole to ensure I don't "come up short, etc." when cutting.2) the price Could Be Cheaper. However, today's Economic Realities (i.e., "Supply Chain Issues", inflation caused by the current President/Vice President) mitigate the Asking Price.Other than that, this product is WORTH RECOMMENDING for those Bowlers looking for Alternatives to "name brand" soles for their Bowling shoes.

I tried to save some money by buying these, what a waste. These should be called Anti-slides. they are like having glue on the bottom of your shoe. I bought them last year but I didn't put them on till the first week of this year. Luckily when i went up to try them out without throwing the ball i went at 25%. Still almost blew out my knee. As soon as i started to slide my foot STUCK to the floor. This is the most pathetic thing i have ever bought on amazon. Looks like its to late for return. lesson learned i will buy the ones from Dexter and pay the extra. I would give Negative 5 stars on this item.

It is thinner than the original Dexter SST #8 pad. It also comes as a rectangle piece that you need to cut to fit your shoe sole. Why isn’t this mentioned or shown? I usually don’t have to trim (except here) because I am a men’s 13. Will it hold up? Too early to tell. Was it worth 50% $$ of an original? Too early to tell.

i purchased both the s8 and the s10. they come as large rectangles so i cut the s8 to the proper size and put it on my shoe. it felt slick to the touch. during my approach, i use my left foot to slide but it did more sticking than sliding and i almost fell over. while i was coming here to make my comment, i read some of the other comments saying to use a wire brush to make it not stick. so far im dissapointed with these but im willing to give another chance and use the wire brush to try and make it work. i have yet to try the s10 but ill try them both out on league night. today is monday and i bowl on wednesdays... ill update you then.
