Q: Will this be able to support Apple HomeKit with a firmware/software update?

No and yes. You have to add one more item to make it work. Search the web for Hoobs HomeKit. They have a Bond plugin and it works great in my HomeKit

Q: Does work with Apple Home? When?

Well, I see a response for it being planned for the end of 2018. Well, it's now 2022, and as I expected, NO HOMEKIT SUPPORT built-in!!! So it's been 4 years. More than enough time to add it if they had actually planned to. It was a LIE, Clearly!!! Now you can add Homekit support by using a 3rd party program called HomeBridge along with a BOND Plug-In. Or you can use a device called HOOBS, which is an overlay interface for HomeBridge running on a Raspberry Pie. Homebridge/HOOBS allow you to run Smart Devices that normally only support Google or Alexa or both of those and get you to use them with Homekit. It almost makes it like a Native Homekit device. There are limits on some devices. BOND should have had built-in Native Homekit support. Other devices like Ecobee and Rachio support all 3, Google, Amazon Alexa, and Apple Homekit. Why this doesn't?!?!?! Luckily I already have HOOBS, and so can use the BOND Plug-in at no extra cost. Just have to set it up.

Q: Does this control split air conditioners?

For some reason, Amazon does not allow review on this item (probably because of negative reviews). This Bond Smart Home Automation has lots of potential, but presently it is still in a very primitive stage (just bought one 4/2018) it can only learn the remote of few popular ceiling fan company like Hunter at this time (I have a Reiker fans, and it cannot learn the remote and customer service cannot help). I am still keeping the Bond because it control my Hunter fans very well from Alexa. I wouldn't consider this Bond for anything else but popular ceiling fans only.

Q: Will this work with multiple Hunter Fan remotes that control 3 speeds and a light?

I've had Bond since December 2017, it controls fans and light but not dimming...I'm still waiting for tech support to get back to me with a solution, after 12 emails back and forth, before the return period closes and it's not looking promising at this point.
