Afraid of the STINK many are complaining about? Okay...so I tried every single one of Lume's scents and hands down the BEST scent is the one I thought I would like the least, it's the Toasted Coconut. The other scents DO have a strange scent to them upon first application, but honestly ALL of them work, they really do. Here's the secret to using this product, RESIST the temptation to smell the cream straight out of the bottle. Just don't do it. Ewwww! You'll hate it! Instead, just ignore what your nose is telling you and put the stuff on! No! Don't smell your pits immediately! I told you not to! LOL! (I am serious don't do it!)Give it a try and trust the stuff will work and put your clothes on and get dressed. Later when you remove your clothing before bed that's the time to do your scent investigation. Or for the more adventurous among us, have someone else do the scent investigation for you. Sniff those pits or "other" places you chose to slather this stuff all over and I swear these places won't smell at all or they will have a soft lavender, coconut, or whatever scent you chose...even the non-scented one that smells downright putrefying right out of the bottle will not smell at all on your skin after wearing it awhile...instead you'll just be scent-free and smell-free. Give the underarms of your t-shirt a sniff after wearing it all day and you'll only smell lovely lavender, coconut, etc... In fact, this stuff works so well that I asked my husband to use it--on some of his other parts, and WOW holy guacamole am I a believer! ;) After THAT experience he is definitely motivated to use this stuff daily! (You just gotta reward good behavior!) LOL!Finally, to recap, DO NOT try to smell what you're looking for in a scent directly from the bottle or even right after you apply it... it needs time...seasoning for an hour or so, and then you'll be pleased as punch! Delay your need for instant fragrance gratification, modify your expectations for what scents you expect to come from the bottle and instead focus on the outcome (maybe focus on your WHY)...body odor will not occur if you use this after showering. We shower daily so I cannot comment on the 72hr nature of this body deodorant.Oh, and as far as scent choices go, I did try all of the scents and I like the way the toasted coconut mellows out to LATER, lavender mellows out nicely too so it's my second choice and for times that I don't want any scent as no scent is nice too, the unscented version is perfect (but only after time has passed on your skin...definitely a horrible smell after just applying it, but only if you stick your nose up to it. Ignore the scent at first, tell yourself it's going to be ok and let it ride... let it sit and do it's thing and it will disappear into a gorgeous UNSCENTED version. Just don't pay attention to how awful the unscented one is at first, buuuuut I promise you if you give it a few hours you won't be disappointed! I hope this helps you sift through your dilemma when you read ALL the reviews talking about the "stink"... patience grasshopper!

I've been using this for a long time now. I have an Amazon subscription so that I never run out. I like the powder scent for everyday wear but also use the toasted coconut if I'm wearing a perfume that has a vanilla note to it. It really does keep sweaty odors away for 3 days! I shower every other day in the cold months and only once per day in the Summer when it's hot and humid and I've been active outdoors. I was nervous about using it under the flap of loose skin on my lower abdomen (think "Csections). But in the warmer months I lift up that skin after a shower and drying thoroughly and run a bead of it along that crease, rub it in completely and then get dressed. I have ZERO sweaty odor that day and the next and I "check" from time to time so I know this is true! I was worried that it might cause a rash in that area but it never has. Great for arm pits and the inner thighs where sweat can gather in the summer. It's so easy to apply. And I only use a little dab each time for all of the areas so it lasts me a long time. Great value for the money! The fragrance is not strong and it settles down to almost no smell of its own after you have it one a few hours.

I bought the cucumber and mint scent for my 11-year-old nephew who plays multiple sports; I tested it first.Much thanks to the other reviewers who advised to avoid smelling the product right out of the tube and after application because y'all are SO RIGHT!Out of the tube and right after application, the scent was...ugh! However, after about an hour, the scent faded but to me, the scent isn't cucumber or mint. If you've used products that are aloe-scented, the faded scent smells like that, fresh, unobtrusive; I didn't mind it.The cream disappears into the skin easily. Not greasy. Dries quickly. Minimum to no residue on clothing. Nephew (and his mom, my sister-in-law) reports this cream worked well as deodorant and it didn't take much. My nephew essentially applies it all over, uses a pea-sized amount for one side of his arm including the underarm, another pea-sized amount for the other side of his arm, same for legs and feet, etc.Suggestion 1: Remember to apply the cream to the back of the neck including the hairline.Suggestion 2: Avoid squeezing the cream onto fingers because the cream just ends up in between the fingers. Try putting the cream on the edge of one palm below your pinkie, rub both palm edges together, then apply; this way, all of the cream ends up where you want, rather than between your fingers.I want to purchase a Lume spray for myself because I have a long flight coming up (more than two days). However, the mint cucumber is a seasonal scent, and the spray has sold out on both Amazon and the Lume website. I'm considering the tangerine or vanilla.The only downside to this product is the cost.

I sweat everywhere & I truly mean EVERYWHERE. I was looking online at whole body deordorants that work and help with bikini area sweat & underboob and o m g. Lume works and is well worth the money. I have no scent when I use this stuff, and I swear by it. I have only been using it for a few days, & truly, I feel so comfortable. I went out all day in the heat with the sun beating down on me..... no issues, no smell, nothing! If you get a little stinky (or a lot) try this out. You only need a pea-sized amount, and it leaves no white stains/streaks. I did think the bottle was going to be bigger for some odd reason, but it's perfect because you don't need to use too much. I really love this stuff and cannot wait to try the different scents, the tangerine smells fine to me and is easy to use.
