Good books, not so great at feeding the little dog, Mungo
"Bacon, I thought. He gets more bacon tomorrow." This is a direct quote from the book, and set off alarms bells to me.I read every book in this series. I don't agree with what the author has the character feeding her dog, but a lot of people do give their animals table scraps. Previous to this, another reviewer posting about a previous book had an issue with the dog's diet also. But giving a dog bacon, especially as much as this character was going to give him, is another matter entirely. Dogs, especially smaller dogs, cannot handle certain foods, and fat greasy pork is at the top. They can get pancreatitis. Yes, it does happen.I felt I should put this out there for small dog owners. I don't know if the author has small dogs, but some changes should be made to future editions of this book, such as to eliminate some of the foods Mungo gets. The author or editor should check out foods that are unsuitable. Maybe its a small insignificant detail, but not to small dog owners like myself. Now as to the book, I like this series, but I am a Steve fan and she chose Declan (I call him Dull Declan). She took the safe routine way out, over the more exciting man. This series is a notch above the routine cozy mystery. I think it would be good if this series stopped here, on a high note. The last book took more than 18 months to be published, and ended on a cliff hanger. I was miffed! I really prefer more resolution to end the story with this type of book. But as long as people will buy this author, publishers will be selling. The author is capable of writing a hard bound top mystery best seller like Nora Roberts. Just please no little dogs, maybe a cat.

Good book
I’ve followed this series from the beginning and I’ve enjoyed it. These books are well written. They have a good mystery plot and sub plots that extend from book to book. The author does that well.I enjoy these books for the mystery, but also the ambiance that Bailey Cates creates with words. I like to spend time at the Honeybee. I enjoy the carriage house and the gardens. Ms Cates understands that a story is about more than the plot and moving that plot through pages. She gives me somewhere to go while I’m reading a mystery. She feeds me imaginary food, too, which is the only way I’m going to be able to enjoy a cupcake, or a cookie. It’s a winning combination and I recommend this book and the series as well.

The worst of the series
I am a big fan of this series. That said, this particular story contained a very contrived plot point which irritated me, the reader, to no end.**Mini spoiler ahead**While I won't give away the killer, it's no secret that this book focuses on the wedding of Declan and Katie. Of course a murder happens (or else why have a cozy mystery), and of course Katie feels an obligation to investigate.I had no problem with that - but I did have a big issue with the contrived plot point that almost ruined Katie's wedding date. It was so poorly done that I found myself getting irritated when reading that portion of the story.Plus, after I finished with the book, there was another glaringly obvious plot point that was ridiculous - which was the whole reason for the murder in the first place. Without giving away too much, there was something hidden in something else with an expiration date nearing - but the whole thing was ridiculous. There was no reason for the person to hide it in the first place - why didn't the person pass that on to his/her relatives in order to take care of the bills? There was absolutely no reason for this whole charade - it made no sense.I love the characters in this book, but this particular book in the series was silly. Too many weak plot points. I sure hope the next book is much better and stronger - because there was one storyline that wasn't finished, so we know there should be another one!

Love this series!💜
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I honestly can say there was nothing at all I disliked about this book. It was very, very good. Sometimes Katie is TSTL, but usually I can see the bravery and love behind the choices she makes. The magic is well researched, the bakery makes things I want to try, and I'm so happy that Declan and Katie finally walked down the flower strewn path. They are so sweet together.I liked the hint for the hopefully soon to be finished next book also. It's very nice to know that Connel will be back from wherever leprechauns go.I do appreciate that this is a series I could share with my granddaughter or grandmother. Just the right amount of heat, done well in the right spots. And no cursing of any sort. I appreciate that so much. I really do recommend this book to just about anyone who likes a little magic, a little mystery and a lot of love in their fiction.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love This Series
I really enjoyed this series. This book didn't hold my attention like the others did it just lacked the who did it suspense the others did IMO. I thought that this was the last book being that it's Katie and Delcans wedding. If this is the end what the heck! Leave us hanging on certain aspects of Declans life. If it's a cliffhanger, I don't enjoy those at all especially when the author takes 18 months or more to publish the next book in the series like this one was. I give it a 3.5

Do you take the bride?
It wedding time for Katie and Declan. Declan's family as arrived. An unwanted guest shows up and wreaks havoc until he is killed and Declan's sister is accused of his murder. I lived this book. It had me on the edge of my seat and tears welling up in my eyes. Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.

Love this series
I hardly ever preorder anything but I preordered this book quite a long while ago and just received it today and super excited to read it. I’ve read and own all of the others in this series and I’m also super picky about the books I keep. The graphics on the cover is again super cute like all of the rest. I’d read this book series for as long as it’s written it’s that engaging and enjoyable.
