Perfect for UV inspections!
This UV light is awesome! I love using this light when I'm searching for leaks on my cars or when I'm doing UV inspections on welds. It works extremely well, and really cuts out all the purple color from non filtered UV lights while still keeping a relatively good brightness and keeping the fluorescence nice and bright. It is super easy to use and very compact. It isn't too heavy at all which is great as well. The charge time does take a little while but the battery lasts a long time, and I have yet to have any issues with any heat for this light at all.

Strong long-wave UV source in a portable form factor
When's the last time that your new flashlight came with an owner's manual? Did it have a wonky section that boasted about the design choices? Did it have an actual, coherent troubleshooting section? This one does. This flashlight deserves a great manual. After all, it's a great flashlight: solid machined body, USB-C charging port, and a narrow-band 365 nm pass filter. And the beam... this thing is dim... until you shine it on something fluorescent! Holy cow!. You realize how narrow the human visual spectrum is. There is a ton of UV emitting from this flashlight, but it's not visible. Turn on this beast; depending on what you seek, you may be thrilled or mortified. Walls and floors that look spotless light up with dust and stains. OTOH, lots of things light up in unexpected and delightful ways. Take a nighttime hike with this device; you'll see bright blue-glowing centipedes, yellow fluorescent mushrooms, scorpions (if they are indigenous). Limitations? Keep in mind that the beam is long-wave UV. It will still make some rocks in your fluorescent mineral collection light up, but it won't be the colors that you see in the museum short-wave fluorescent mineral case. For that, you need an SW unit, 10x what you pay for this flashlight, and not portable. Heat level? The UVBeast V3 mini gets pretty warm after a few minutes, but not hot. The lithium battery is replaceable if you exhaust its charge/discharge lifespan.

True UV 365nm light and 5-star customer support
This is a true UV 365nm flashlight. I used a UV detection card to confirm the 365nm wavelength. I have a 395 nm Braun UV light from HarborFreight and there is a day and night difference between this and the Braun. This is so much more better and can reveal unseen dyes, stains etc that the HarborFreight light simply cannot detect. I primarily used this to detect coolant leak in my car but have already used it for many other applications. The first light I got had some problem with charging. I contacted the seller. They promptly contacted me trying to help me in case I was doing something wrong. Once we figured out that I had gotten a defective product they quickly sent me an expedited replacement within 2 days. 5-stars for both the product as well as customer service. I like companies back their products.

Black light works.
Functions well. Seems durable. Don't forget the double click to turn on. Works OK for rocks. Maybe not the highest quality but treat your equipment with care and respect and it will last. I wonder how long the battery will hold out?

The most incredible UV flashlight and unparalleled Customer Service!
I have found this UV flashlight to be the gold standard! I collect Victorian EAPG glass as well as vintage vaseline and uranium glass and a good, strong UV flashlight is my trusty sidekick in identification! Over the last year, my father's health began to fail and I spent most of my free time caring for him at his home until his passing in early November. I put the 'beast' away in a safe place, aka where I couldn't find it. Over Christmas, while looking for my grandkids christmas presents (which had suffered a similar fate), i found the Beast again and put it on charge. After twelve hours of charging, nothing happened. I tried for a longer time with the same result, went to the website and made sure that I had followed all of the troubleshooting steps and then wrote to the company asking for help. Seb, the Customer Service representative who corresponded with me, wrote me back within a day and gave me a couple of other suggestions to see if we could get it up and running, but to no avail. I wrote him back last night with the result and by this morning, in my inbox, he had written back telling me that they were expediting a new flashlight to me! I was floored. I have truthfully not encountered that level of customer service in what feels like forever, if ever! The kindness and non-judgmental advice added to my experience greatly. This is a company that stands firmly behind their exceptional products with exceptional customer service and I wouldn't hesitate for one second to recommend both the flashlight and the company to anyone looking for a similar device!

Works but has quirks.
Charged it when it arrived. Red led turned on then off when it was finished charging. Used it for 2 hours, then went to charge it again. No led light. So I tried an older Apple charger (the square type with folding plug) and a different USB C cable. This time the led light turned on and I could recharge it. It turns out that some usb c cables are wider and won’t fully seat in the charging receptacle. It’s a matter of fractions of a millimeter. The button turns on with two clicks…a safety feature to keep it from turning on accidentally. You barely need to touch it to turn it off…not even a click. The light was bright enough for my purposes. I believe you can use two c123 batteries and it will work. I prefer to have things work well right out of the box. If I were a first responder and needed something to always work, I would return it, as quirks are not desirable in critical situations; however the light is small and takes up little space in my gear bag. I will be using C123, which last a long time and always work and can be stored in the light without issues. I’m a photographer so I’m used to gear having quirks and over promising and kind of delivering…and am used to figuring out workarounds for stuff…even for cameras which are thousands of dollars. I’ve noticed that more expensive lights also have honest negative reviews also so paying more doesn’t necessarily guarantee better quality.
